Purposes:This study compares three kinds of waterlines treatment and disinfection methods: continuous disinfection with polyiodine resin(low concentration iodine),500mg/L chlorine disinfectant once a week, and 20mg/L chlorine disinfectant once a day.The short-term and long-term disinfection effects of dental unit waterlines(DUWLs),and comparative analysis of economic costs, labor costs, etc, with a view to finding a scientific and effective waterlines management control method for dental unit waterlines pollution control.Provide reference for clinical use. Methods:A total of 16 dental chair unit were selected from 4 units in each of the four departments of the Department of Stomatology,Dental Dentistry,Periodont ology and Implantation Department of the Stomatological Hospital of Nanchang University.Four sets of dental chair unit in each department were randomly divided into three groups: polyiodine resin group(DP365M continuous disinfect ion),chlorine-containing group A(500mg/L chlorine-disinfectant,weekly disinf ection),chlorine-containing group B(20mg/L chlorine-disinfectant,Daily disi nfection)and the control group.1.Before and after sterilization, immediately a fter sterilization,12 hours,1 week,2 weeks,4 weeks,8 weeks,12 weeks,16 weeks,20 weeks,24 weeks before and after sterilization, take clinical sample s and collect high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes water, mouthwash an d source water compare the total bacterial colonies of each group;2.For the chlorine-containing disinfectant group A(500mg/L chlorine-containing disinfecta nt,weekly disinfection),conduct continuous daily clinical sampling within 1 w eek;3.Record the number of daily visits to each dental chair unit in the fou r departments, and compare the daily use of each group of oral comprehensive treatment units during the study period;4.Use Centers for Disease Control a nd Prevention(CDC)And the American Dental Association(ADA)water quality standard(?500cfu/ml)and the Chinese drinking water standard(?100cfu/ml)as water quality standards.Statistical analysis was performed using repeated measures analysis of vari ance,one-way analysis of variance, and Mann-Whitney U rank sum test. Results:Under this experimental condition:1.Polyiodine resin(DP365M)group,chlorine-containing disinfectant group A,chlorine-containing disinfectant group B dental unit waterlines high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes water, mouthwash immediately after disinfection,12 h after disinfection compared with the control group The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Among them, the total number of bacteria in the Polyiodine resin(DP365M)group from 2 to 24 weeks all meets the three water quality standards. The chlorine-containing disinfectant group A and the chlorine-containing disinfectant group B 0~24 The total number of bacteria per week meets three water quality standards.2.The total number of bacteria in the polyiodine iodine resin group, the chlorine-containing disinfectant group A,and the chlorine-containing disinfectant group B high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes water, and mouthwash are immediately after 0 weeks of disinfection,12 hours after disinfection, and 1~24weeks after disinfection at the time point, the difference between the control group and the control group was statistically significant(P<0.05).Among them, the total number of bacteria in the chlorine disinfectant group A and the chlorine disinfectant group B from 0 to 24 weeks all meets the three water quality standards. The total number of bacteria in the polyiodine group from 2 to 24 weeks all meets the three water quality standards.3.The total number of bacteria in the polyiodine resin group, the chlorine-containing disinfectant group B high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes water, and mouthwash water was statistically significant compared with the control group before disinfection at each time point from 1 to 24 weeks(P<0.05),In which the total number of bacteria in the high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes waterand mouthwash in the polyiodine resin group meets the ADA and CDC water quality standards of the United States.20~24 weeks meet the American ADA,CDC water quality standards;the total number of bacteria in the high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes water, and mouthwash in the chlorine-containing disinfectant group A is not statistically different from the control group at each time point before 0~24weeks of disinfection(P>0.05).4.The three groups of disinfection methods compare the results of the number of colonies at each time point before disinfection:(1)The total number of bacteria in the iodine resin group and the chlorine-containing disinfectant group A high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes water, mouthwash water is 1~24 The difference between the time points of each week was statistically significant(P<0.05);(2)The difference in the total number of bacteria in the high-speed handpieces water between the polyiodine resin group and the chlorine-containing disinfectant group B was statistically significant at each time point from 2 to 8 weeks(P<0.05),there is a statistically significant difference in the total number of bacteria in the triple syringes water at each time point from 1 to 12 weeks(P<0.05),and there is a statistically significant difference in the total number of bacteria at each time point from 1 to 16 weeks in the mouthwash(P<0.05);(3)The difference between the total number of bacteria in the high-speed handpieces water and triple syringes water in the chlorine disinfectant group B and the chlorine disinfectant group A was statistically significant at each time point from 1 to 24 weeks(P<0.05).5.The daily clinical sampling results of chlorine disinfectant group A for 1 week:no significant difference between the total number of bacteria in high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes water and mouthwash immediately after disinfection and 12 hours after disinfection(P>0.05),bacteria The total amount meets the three water quality standards;compared with the first day(24 hours)after disinfection, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05),but the total amount of bacteria still meets the US ADA,CDC water quality standards;but after the second The total amount of bacteria per day(48 hours)has exceeded the US ADA,CDC water quality standards.6.Economic cost comparison of three disinfection methods: polyiodine resingroup> chlorinated disinfectant group B> chlorinated disinfectant group A,labor cost comparison: chlorine disinfectant group B>chlorinated disinfectant group A>polyiodine resin group.Conclusions:1.From the perspective of immediate disinfection effect, three disinfection methods: continuous disinfection of polyiodine resin, weekly disinfection with500mg/L chlorine disinfectant once a week and daily disinfection with 20mg/L chlorine disinfectant once a day can effectively reduced immediately after disi nfection The number of bacteria in the effluent of high-speed handpieces water, triple syringes water, mouthwashes in the DUWLs meets the three water quali ty standards.2.From the perspective of long-term disinfection effect, continuous disinfection using polyiodine resin and 20mg/L chlorine-containing disinfectant daily disinfection once a day can make the DUWLs high-speed handpieces, triple syringes, mouthwash effluent maintain a low bacterial count The continuous disinfection effect of polyiodine resin is better than the daily disinfection effect of 20mg/L chlorine disinfectant once a day.3.Use 500mg/L chlorine disinfectant once a week to disinfect, the disinfection effect can only last for 24 hours;long-term continuous use 500mg/L chlorine disinfectant once a week to disinfect, the number of bacteria in DUWLs after each week Still can not meet the American ADA,CDC water quality standards.4.On the premise of achieving the disinfection effect and meeting the three water quality standards, the iodine resin is better than 20mg/L chlorine disinfectant daily disinfection once a day from the perspective of labor cost;from the economic cost perspective,20mg/L chlorine disinfectant per daily disinfection once a day is better than polyiodine resin.
