| Objective: This paper is intended to observe the clinical curative effect of Jiawei Buzhong Yiqi decoction in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue with the syndrome of deficiency of both Qi and Yin after colorectal cancer surgery,evaluate its drug safety and side effects,then exploit the clinical advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue so as to provide theoretical basis for the treatment of cancer-related fatigue by traditional Chinese medicine and serve for the further study.Method: The patients with the syndrome of deficiency of both Qi and Yin after the operation of colorectal cancer,who met the inclusion criteria,were randomly divided into two groups.The control group was given conventional western medicine supportive treatment and nursing as well as symptomatic treatment(mainly including such measures as the management of tumor-related complications,the management of complications after anti-tumor treatment,pain relief,maintenance of electrolyte balance,nutritional support and exercise intervention).The treatment group was given Jiawei Buzhong Yiqi decoction on the basis of the treatment of the control group.The treatment time was three cycles with four weeks per cycle.The total score of Piper fatigue scale,scores of each dimension,KPS scores and TCM syndrome scores of the two groups of patients were compared respectively in each treatment cycle.After the treatment,the fatigue grade,TCM syndrome efficacy,and other safety indicators including blood routine,liver function and renal function of the two groups of patients before and after treatment were compared.Results: Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in baseline data of the two groups of cases.After treatment: 1.in terms of fatigue,compare with those in control group,the total scores and scores in three dimensions including behavior,emotion,and cognition all showed a continuous downward trend,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The score of perception dimension showed a continuous downward trend in each treatment cycle,and the differences in the first cycle and the third cycle were statistically significant(P<0.05).2.In terms of fatigue degree,according to the assessment of fatigue degree by Piper fatigue scale,there were no patients with severe fatigue,16 patients with moderate fatigue,and 22 patients with mild fatigue in the treatment group.In the control group,there was 1 patient with severe fatigue,33 patients with severe fatigue and 2 patients with mild fatigue.There were statistical differences in the decline of fatigue degree between the two groups(P<0.05).The fatigue degree in the treatment group showed a larger reduction than that in the control group 3.In terms of living conditions,compared with that of the control group,the KPS score of the treatment group increased continuously in each treatment cycle,and the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05);4.In terms of scores of TCM clinical syndrome,compared with those in the control group,the scores of TCM syndrome in the treatment group have been continuously reduced in each treatment cycle,and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).5.In terms of the curative effect of TCM syndrome,there were no cured cases in the treatment group after treatment.2 cases showed obvious effects(5.3%),31 cases were effective(81.6%),and 5 cases were ineffective(13.2%).The clinical effective rate was 86.9%.In the control group,there were no cured cases,no markedly effective cases,3 effective cases(8.3%),and 33 ineffective cases(91.7%).The clinical effective rate was 8.3%.The effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.In terms of safety evaluation,no obvious adverse reactions were found in the two groups of patients during the treatment.After treatment,there was no statistical difference in renal function between the two groups(P>0.05).The difference between blood routine and liver function was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: During the treatment period,Jiawei Buzhong Yiqi decoction can obviously relieve the fatigue state of cancer-related fatigue patients with deficiency of both Qi and Yin after colorectal cancer surgery,reduce fatigue,enhance the quality of life of patients,improve the clinical syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine,and promote the recovery of blood routine and liver function,which shows good security in a short time. |
