Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture at Ba liu points combined with conventional rehabilitation therapy for spinal cord injury(SCI)urinary retention. Methods: Forty patients with urinary retention after SCI who met the inclusion criteria from March 2018 to December 2019 were randomly divided into a control group(n = 20)and a treatment group(n = 20).The treatment method used in the control group was biofeedback electrical stimulation plus conventional bladder rehabilitation training, and the treatment method used in the treatment group was biofeedback electrical stimulation combined with electroacupuncture plus conventional bladder rehabilitation training. The two groups of patients were intervened for 4 weeks according to each group's plan.During the test, both groups of patients received conventional medical treatment and paraplegic acupuncture rehabilitation treatment. After the end of 4 weeks, the residual urine volume of the two groups of patients and the time to resume voluntary urination were compared, and the changes in the efficacy and urinary retention of the two groups of patients after treatment were explored and analyzed. Results: A total of 40 clinical research subjects that met the standard were included in this trial. The control group received 20 cases, including 1 case discontinued and 1 case lost, and a total of 18 cases were finally completed;the treatment group received 20 cases, including 1case,which was finally completed 19 cases. Before treatment, the baseline of the general data of the two groups of patients was compared and analyzed, and it was concluded that the basic conditions of the two groups of patients and the residual urine volume before treatment were not significantly different(P> 0.05).Therefore,it can be concluded that the two groups of patients are comparable. After receiving 4 weeks of intervention, the two groups of patients compared the residual urine volume before and after treatment. The results showed that after treatment, the residual urine volume of the two groups of patients was reduced to a certain extent(P <0.05);By comparing and analyzing,it can be concluded that the reduction of residual urine volume in the treatment group is more obvious than that in the control group(P<0.05).After two weeks of intervention, the bladder pressure and volume measurements of the two groups were statistically compared. The bladder pressure in the treatment group decreased and the volume increased(P> 0.05);the number of days for the patients with urinary retention to resume voluntary urination was analyzed In comparison, the results showed that the number of days for patients in the treatment group to resume spontaneous urination was significantly less than that in the control group(P <0.05).The clinical efficacy of each group: the total effective rate of the control group was 72.2%,and the total effective rate of the treatment group was 84.2%.The results suggest that the clinical treatment efficiency of the treatment group is higher than that of the control group. Conclusion: The effect of electroacupuncture at Baoji points combined with conventional rehabilitation treatment on patients' residual urine volume and recovery time of voluntary urination is more obvious than that of simple biofeedback electrical stimulation treatment. The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was also improved compared to the control group. Therefore, electroacupuncture at Bajiao combined with conventional rehabilitation treatment can improve urinary retention after SCI.
