Objective:To observe the clinical indexes of peri-implant and the change of Porphyromonas gingivalis(P.g)in gingival crevicular fluid around the implant,to evaluate the efficacy of PDT in the treatment of peri-implantitis(PI),and to explore the effectiveness of PDT in the treatment of peri-implantitis.Method:From January 1 to December 31,2019,28 patients with peri-implantitis who were followed up in the second Department of Stomatology,Jiangxi Provincial People’s hospital were selected and 32 inflammatory implants were included. They were randomly divided into two groups for treatment,Mechanical debridement(MD)group(Group A),Mechanical debridement + PDT group(Group B).Observe the following clinical parameters of each group before treatment and 3 weeks after treatment: Probing depth(PD),Bleeding on probing(BOP),Modified sulcus bleeding index(mSBI)and Modified plaque index(mPLI),and apply Quantitative Real-time PCR(Quantitative Real-time PCR,qPCR)technology was used to detect changes in Porphyromonas gingivalis(P.g).Results:Before the treatment, there was no difference in the statistical results of clinical indicators between groups A and B(P > 0.05).After 3 weeks of treatment, the clinical indicators PD,BOP,mSBI and mPLI of groups A and B were significantly lower than the baseline level(P < 0.05).After 3 weeks of treatment, the improvement of clinical indicators PD,BOP and mSBI of group B was better than that of group A,and the statistical results showed significant difference(P < 0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the improvement of mPLI between group B and group a 3weeks after treatment(P > 0.05).Three weeks after treatment, the detection rate of P.g in group A and B was significantly lower(P < 0.05);compared with group A and B,the detection rate of P.g in group B was significantly lower than that in group A(P <0.05).Conclusion:This experiment shows that PDT has bacteriostatic effect on peri-implantitis in a short period of time. After mechanical debridement alone,PDT has a certain clinical effect in a short period of time. Therefore,PDT can be used as an assistant in the short-term treatment of peri-implantitis.
