Objective:To explore the effect of high dietary fiber diet on patients with chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).Methods:A total of 60 patients with CAG diagnosed by pathological biopsy from January1,2018 to December 31,2018 and dietary fiber(DF)intake < 15g/d calculated by diet survey were collected and divided into observation group(n = 30)and control group(n = 30).After entering the group, two groups of patients were followed up for one year, and the patients in the observation group were given dietary guidance,in order to improve their daily dietary DF intake > 15g/d;while the control group was not given dietary guidance, and still maintained their daily low dietary fiber diet habits. One year later,DF intake data of the two groups were collected, gastroscope was reexamined and biopsies were taken to understand the atrophy of gastric mucosa and the change of intestinal metaplasia. Results:The final completion of the trial was 49 cases,24 cases in the observation group and 25 cases in the control group. In terms of DF intake, the total DF intake of daily diet in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the baseline after one year, from 9.7±2.1g/d to 20.7±3.8g/d(P < 0.001);in the control group, the total DF intake increased from 9.0±2.8g/d to 10.0±2.0g/d after one year(P < 0.05);there was no significant change in the proportion of soluble and insoluble dietary fiber in the observation group and the control group at baseline and in the final period(P >0.05).In terms of atrophic outcome,in the observation group,1 case was cured,15 cases were effective,7 cases were improved,1 case was ineffective, and the overall effective rate was 95.8%;in the control group,1 case was cured,3 cases were effective,3 cases were improved,18 cases were ineffective, and the overall effective rate was 28.0%;it suggested that the atrophic outcome of the observation group wasbetter than that of the control group(P < 0.001).In the aspect of intestinal metaplasia,in the observation group,1 case was cured,1 case was effective,14 cases were improved,8 cases were ineffective, and the overall effective rate was 66.7%;in the control group,1 case was cured,5 cases were improved,19 cases were ineffective, and the overall effective rate was 24.0%;it suggested that the intestinal metaplasia in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:High dietary fiber diet may improve atrophy and intestinal metaplasia of CAG patients.
