Prognostic Significance Of FA Score Based On Plasma Fibrinogen And Serum Albumin In Patients With Epithelial Ovarian Cancer

Objective:To evaluate the significance of FA score based on preoperative peripheral blood plasma fibrinogen and serum albumin levels in the prognosis of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer.Methods: Clinicopathological data of 186 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer were collected,and the correlation between FA scoreand clinical pathological indicators as well as overall survival was analyzed.Results:(1)ROC curve showed that the optimal cut-off point of plasma fibrinogen in the preoperative peripheral blood of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer was 3.63g/L.The optimal cut-off point for serum albumin level was 42.45 g/L.(2)There was no significant difference in age,tumor size,whether or not was serous tumor,absolute value of preoperative leukocyte and preoperative tumor marker CA125 between the three groups(p>0.05).However,there were statistically significant difference in tumor grading,staging and the presence of lymph node metastasis between different FA scoring groups(p<0.05).(3)Univariate and multivariate analyses showed that tumor size,tumor grade,tumor stage,FA score and tumor marker CA125 were statistically correlated with overall survival(OS)of epithelial ovarian cancer patients after surgery(p < 0.05).(4)FA score can better predict the prognosis of postoperative patients with epithelial ovarian cancer whose tumor size is greater than or equal to6 cm and whose epithelial ovarian cancer is advanced(stage III-IV)(p=0.0138)and whose pathological type is medium or high grade(p=0.0005).Conclusion:FA score is closely related to the clinicopathological characteristics and survival prognosis(OS)of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer and is an independent risk factor indicating the prognosis of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer.Through the detection of preoperative plasma fibrinogen and serum albumin in the patients' peripheral blood,FA score was established to guide the prognosis of patients according to its score,which is expected to be an effective method for prognosis and guiding diagnosis and treatment of target ovarian cancer patients.
