Objective:To analyze the incidence and related factors of chronic endometritis(CE)in patients with failed embryo transfer and to investigate the effect of CE on the outcome of frozen embryo transfer(FET).Methods:1.The clinical data of 439 patients with endometrial biopsy in Reproductive Medicine Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January 2013 to August 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into two groups according to the pathological examination results: CE group(n= 89)and non-CE group(n=350).Count the incidence of CE in patients with previous embryo transfer failure.Univariate and multivariate were used to analyze the relevant factors of CE.2.Comparison and analysis the outcomes of frozen embryo transfer after CE cure(observation group,n=57)and the non-CE patients(control group,n=225).Results :1.Among the 439 patients with failed embryo transfer included in this study, the incidence of CE was 20.27%;Univariate analysis showed that fallopian tube obstruction and a previous history of endometrial polyps(EPs)were associated with CE(P < 0.05),and logistic regression analysis showed that fallopian tube obstruction(OR=1.703,95%CI 0.059~2.739,P = 0.028)and a previous history of endometrial polyps(OR=1.884,95%CI 1.020~3.482,P = 0.043)were independent risk factors for CE.2.The observation group and the control group showed no significant differences in clinical pregnancy rate, live birth rate, abortion rate, ectopic pregnancy rate, multiple pregnancy rate, preterm birth rate and the incidence rate of premature rupture of membranes(P > 0.05).Conclusions:1.The incidence of CE in infertile patients with previous embryo transfer failure was 20.27%.2.Increased risk of CE in infertile patients with fallopian tube obstruction and a previous history of endometrial polyps.3.After the CE was cured,it does not affect the FET cycle pregnancy outcome.
