Objective By analyzing the positive rate of helicobacter pylori(HP)infection in the oral cavity of patients with recurrent aphthous ulcer(RAU)and measuring the humoral immune system(combination of immunoglobulin and complement),the correlation between recurrent aphthous ulcer and helicobacter pylori infection was investigated.Method This study consists of two parts. In the first part: 300 patients diagnosed with RAU and 300 healthy people who underwent physical examination were collected as subjects. All subjects were divided into the youth group(18-44 years old)and the middle-aged group(45-60 years old)according to age.The oral HP infection status of the two groups of subjects in each age group was detected respectively, and their levels were analyzed to see whether there was any difference. The second part: to all he patients enrolled in the part of the study, stratified by age,the rapid enzymatic urea were used to detect oral HP infection, according to the results of the test cases within the layers of patients can be divided into groups(positive)HP infection and the control group(negative)HP infection, both groups were extracted fasting venous blood, serum immunoglobulin(IgG,IgM and IgA)and complement(C3 and C4)level,compare the result analysis. Results Part I: the oral HP infection rate of RAU patients in the youth group and the middle-aged group was higher than that of healthy people, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The infection rate of HP was higher in the middle-aged group than in the young group. There was no statistically significantdifference between male and female HP infection rate(P>0.05).The results of intra-age comparison showed that the infection rate of HP in the mild RAU group, the herpes RAU group and the severe RAU group increased successively, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Part II: in this part of the study, the patients of all ages in case group(positive)HP infection and the control group(negative)HP infection comparison results showed that cases of serum immunoglobulin IgG,IgA,complement C4 three indexes were higher than the control group, cases C3 value is lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in IgM between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The infection rate of HP in RAU patients was significantly higher than that in healthy people, and the older people were more susceptible. The HP infection rate of severe RAU patients was higher than that of other two RAU patients, suggesting a correlation between the two.The humoral immune system function of RAU patients with HP infection is obviously abnormal compared with that of RAU patients alone, suggesting that HP infection has certain influence on the humoral immune system of RAU patients. Therefore,it is concluded that HP infection may be one of the important pathogenic factors leading to the occurrence of RAU.
