Objective:To compare the effect of percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy and microendoscopic discectomy on lumbar disc herniation.Methods:Computerized searches Cochrane,Embase,Pubmed,Web of science,China Zhiwang,Wanfang,Weipu database until November 2019,according to the strict inclusion and exclusion criteria to screen,evaluate and extract the included data,using the Review Manager 5.3 software for meta analysis.Results:Finally,8 literatures were included,with a total of 1028 cases,of which 559 were male and 469 were female;474 were PELD and 554 were MED.The results of meta-analysis showed that: compared with MED group,PELD group had less intraoperative bleeding,short hospitalization time,low postoperative VAS-back score,good patient satisfaction survey,and the difference was statistically significant;there was no significant difference in postoperative ODI score,postoperative VAS-leg score,operation time,complications,etc.Conclusion:Both PELD and MED are effective treatment for lumbar disc herniation,PELD has less tissue injury,less bleeding,faster recovery after operation and more minimally invasive advantages than MED.
