Objective:To investigate the relationship between bone mineral density and bone metabolism and homocysteine in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods:200 patients(100 males and 100 females)with type 2 diabetes mellitus aged between 40 and 75 years who were admitted to the department of endocrinology in the The first hospital of shanxi medical university from November 2017 to November 2019 were collected, including 28 males younger than 50 and 72 females older than 50.Among women,21 were premenopausal and 79 were postmenopausal. After fasting for 12 hours, the subjects were taken venous blood test on an empty stomach in the morning of the next day:Fasting plasma glucose, fasting blood glucose,FPG),glycosylated hemoglobin, glycosylated hemoglobin,Hb A1c),blood lipid, blood fat, homocysteine(homocysteine,HCY),beta collagen special series(beta caroxyl terminal peptide,?-ctx),the general type 1 collagen amino acid side extension of the peptide(type1 procollagen N-terminal Proeptide(P1NP),osteocalcin(OC),25 hydroxy vitamin D(25(OH)D)and related biochemical indexes were also measured. The bone density of l1-4in the lumbar spine was also measured.(1)comparison of basic information of all patients;(2)according to gender and age,the 200 people were divided into four groups, and the differences of bone mineral density and bone metabolism indexes in each group were compared;(3)to analyze the correlation between homocysteine and bone mineral density and bone metabolism indexes.Results:1.Women have higher TC and HDL than men and higher TG content in men than women, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).2.Women with ?-ctx are less postmenopausal than premenopausal, while the levels of P1 NP,OC,PTH,25(OH)D and T were higher than that of postmenopausal depression, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).3.For men,the levels of ?-ctx is less than that before the age of50,the levels of P1 NP,OC,PTH,25(OH)D and T were all higher than that before the age of 50,with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).4.Hcy was positively correlated with ?-ctx,while Hcy was negatively correlated with P1 NP,BMD,OC,PTH and25(OH)D.Conclusion:In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, both male and female patients showed a positive correlation between hcy and ?-ctx,and a negative correlation between hcy and BMD.The higher the hcy,the higher the ?-ctx,and the lower the BMD.
