Objective: To compare the efficacy and complications of botulinum toxin A combined with small incision surgery and simple small incision surgery in the treatment of axillary osmidrosis(AO).Methods: 80 patients(160 sides)with bilateral axillary osmidrosis(Young.Jin Park,30 cases of grade 2 and 50 cases of grade 3)who were treated in our department from September 2014 to September 2017 were selected to receive combined treatment and simple surgical treatment,40 cases in each treatment group(15 cases of grade 2 and 25 cases of grade 3).The classification of axillary osmidrosis and the types and number of complications in the two groups were analyzed statistically for one year after treatment.Result: One year after treatment, there were significant differences in axillary osmidrosis classification between the combined treatment group(52 sides of grade 0,25 sides of grade 1,3 sides of grade 2,0 sides of grade 3)and the simple operation group(37 sides of grade 0,37 sides of grade 1,5 sides of grade 2,1 side of grade 3)(P < 0.05).The cure rate of the combined treatment group(96.25%)was compared with that of the simple operation group(92.5%)(cure: 0 or 1 side of grade after treatment),P > 0.05,with no statistical difference. The scientific significance shows that simple surgery is an effective treatment method. There was no significant difference in the incidence of total complications between the combined treatment group(15.0%)and the simple operation group(13.75%)(P > 0.05).Conclusion: The treatment effect of the combined treatment group is better than that of the simple operation group, and the incidence of complications in the combined treatment group is not more than that in the simple operation group.
