Drug addiction can impair the cognitive ability of individuals.Such damage not only promotes the development of addictive behaviors, but also is a key factor that is very easy to relapse after withdrawal.Studies have shown that working memory training can significantly improve cognitive impairment caused by drug addiction. However, due to the different pharmacology and toxicology of various addictive drugs, the cognitive impairment caused to them will show inconsistent characteristics. At present, there is no research to explore whether a single working memory training task will have different training effects on cognitive impairment caused by different types of drugs. Therefore,in this study,50 heroin addicts and 32 methamphetamine addicts in the withdrawal period were randomly divided into training group and control group, and the working memory visual update task was used to perform 20 items on two types of addicts.Pay attention to the changes in the task performance of the two types of drug addicts, and examine the response inhibition ability, interference control ability, and conversion ability of the subjects as migration effects to explore the differential training effects of working memory training on the two types of addicts. It was found that training can significantly improve the updating ability of the two types of addicts, and that methamphetamine addicts show higher cognitive plasticity. In addition, both types of addicts produced transfer effects on the Flanker task and the RunMemory 1750 task. For methamphetamine addicts, the training effect also transfer to Go / no-go tasks and RunMemory 750 tasks, while heroin addicts were trained to reduce their switch costs in Switch tasks. The above results show that working memory training can effectively improve the updating ability of two types of addicts and improve cognitive performance in other aspects.Compared with heroin addicts, methamphetamine addicts showed greater cognitive plasticity and produced a wider transfer effects.
