Objective: To study the neurophysiology mechanism of addictive memory in the hippocampus and the mesencephalon on experimental heroin psychological dependence mice with the low frequency electroacupuncture more profoundly.Method: Make the experimental heroin psychological dependente model with heroin conditioned place preference (CPP) in mice, 56 mice were equally and randomly divided into 4 groups after pretesting: a contrary group, a model group, an electroacupuncture therapy group, and a model with western medicine group. needling the "Neiguan(PC6)" "Shanyinjiao(SP6)" "Sishengchong" points. The items observed includes: weight , CPP, the density of AchE and DA in hippocampus and the gray scale resolution of AchE in mesencephalon.Result: low frequency EA could significantly gain in weight, disappeared the biasing to white side of the box, reduce the density of DA and elevate the density of AchE in hippocampus on the experimental heroin psychological dependente model. Trend to express AchE in mesencephalon. Conclusion: Needling the points could suppress heroin CPP, possibly through to regulate the mechanism of neurotransmitters in the hippocampus and the mesencephalon of mice with psychological dependence on heroin by electroacupuncture (EA) therapy .to regulate the experimental heroin psychological dependente mice model in the drug rewarding- memory center formed neural network in CNS to hand over between the nature system in stable state but to play its treatment role.
