Objective:This study is to learn about the temperament characteristics of infants in Taiyuan from 4 to 11 months;to analyze the effects of mothers' general conditions, pregnancy lifestyle, plasma iron status during pregnancy, and perinatal period on infant temperament characteristics at 4~11 months;to investigate the relationship between the plasma iron content during pregnancy and the temperament dimensions of infants from 4to 11 month.Provide a theoretical basis for health workers to guide pregnant women's lifestyle and iron status during pregnancy, thereby improving pregnancy behaviors, reducing adverse factors, and offering a basis for improving early mental health of infants. Methods:A total of 1041 pregnant women were selected to apply for a maternal health manual at a hospital in Taiyuan,Shanxi Province from August 1,2018 to December 31,2019.Used cross-sectional survey to conduct a questionnaire to understand the demographic characteristics of pregnant woman, their lifestyle during pregnancy, and gestation characteristic.A total of 951 pregnant blood samples were collected, and the plasma iron content during pregnancy was measured using the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer(ICP-MS).Among them,a total of 721 puerperas were followed up in the same hospital.Using the "Temperature Questionnaire for Infants of 4 ~ 11 Months" developed by Shanghai Zhenbei Medical Co.,Ltd.,to evaluate the 9 temperament dimension of infants aged 4 ~ 11 months.Evaluation of 68 babies completed. The database was established by Epi Data 3.1,and using SPSS 25.0 statistical software to analyze the data.Statistical description of temperament dimension scores, plasma iron status and general situation of pregnant women during pregnancy;the plasma iron content of different groups during pregnancy were compared by Krusal-Wallis H tests, the plasma iron level of different groups during pregnancy were compared by c2 tests;factors affecting infant temperament dimensions were analyzed by t-test,Pearson correlation analysis,Spearman correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression.Results:1.Plasma iron during pregnancy women The median plasma iron of 721 pregnant women was 1.22mg/l,the quartile spacing was 0.95 ~ 1.51mg/l.By Krusal-Wallis H test, the results showed that there were statistical differences of the overall distribution of plasma iron content among pregnant women in the groups of different gestational weeks and different educational levels(H=16.200,13.58,P < 0.05).The 721 pregnant women were divided into the low level plasma iron group and the non-low level plasma iron group, among which 173 were in the low level plasma iron group and 548 were in the non-low level plasma iron group.By c 2 test, the results showed that there were statistical differences of the overall distribution of plasma iron levels among pregnant women in the groups of different educational levels and different pregnancy times(c2 = 19.641,6.153,P < 0.05).2.Characteristics of infant temperament dimensions A total of 68 valid infant temperament questionnaires were collected in this study. The average scores of temperament dimensions from high to low were: activity level(4.32±0.48),distractibility(4.11±0.56),response intensity(3.87±0.55),perseverance(3.77±0.56),rhythmicity(3.77±0.49),response threshold(3.72±0.62),quality of mood (3.71±0.52),adaptability(3.64±0.51),and evasive(3.50±0.47).By t test, there were statistically differences of evasive scores between different pregnancy times groups(t =-2.781,P < 0.05),activity level scores and adaptability scores in different maternal age groups(t =-3.252,-2.622,P < 0.05),activity level scores and rhythmic scores among mothers with different educational levels(t =-2.141,2.121,P < 0.05),evasion scores in iron level group during pregnancy(t =-2.134,P < 0.05).3.Factors affecting temperament dimensions Pearson correlation analysis, there were positive correlation between activity levels scores(rs = 0.304,P < 0.05)and adaptability scores(rs = 0.278,P < 0.05)with pregnancy ages respectively.Spearman correlation analysis, there were positive correlation between evasive scores and different pregnancy times(rs = 0.317,P < 0.05),activity levels scores(rs = 0.248,P < 0.05)and rhythmicity scores(rs = 0.246,P < 0.05)with different educational levels.Pregnancy plasma iron was associated with evasive scores(rs = 0.259,P < 0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis found that the main influencing factor of activity level scores was the age of the mother(? = 0.039);influencing factor of rhythmicity scores was mother's education level(? = 0.245);influencing factor of evasive scores were pregnancy times and iron level during pregnancy(? values were 0.291,0.301,respectively);influencing factor of adaptability scores was maternal age(? =0.038).Conclusions:1.The plasma iron level of pregnant mother in this study was related to different educational levels, gestational weeks and pregnancy times.2.The main factors affecting different dimensions of infant temperament are different, phobotaxis was positively related to plasma iron level during pregnancy, and also related to the pregnancy times;activity level and adaptability were related to the age of the mother;rhythmicity was related to the mother's educational level.
