Objective: Cubitus varus deformity is the most common late complication after a humerus supracondylar fracture in children. There are many methods of surgery, mainly reflected in the diversity of humeral osteotomy. At present, the isosceles triangle osteotomy is described as a new technique to make up for the lack of traditional osteotomy. This study explored the way to define the isosceles triangular. Methods: 23 children with cubitus varus deformity were diagnosed from February 1,2014 to December 31,2017.14 were male and 9 were female, the average age was 8.6(4 to 13)years.Personalized treatments of osteotomy was designed in children with elbow varus preoperatively based on CORA principle(the center of rotation of angulation).A lateral isosceles triangular osteotomy was performed and fixed with Kirschner wire fixation. Results: A total of 23 patients were followed up for 12?47 months. The mean post-operative carrying angle in the corrected elbow was9.0°(3.4°?15.6°).There were statistically significant differences between thecarrying angles before surgery and at final follow-up(paired t-test).According to the Mayo elbow performance score(MEPS),the excellent and good rate was 96% at final follow-ups.There were no cases with lateral prominence, loss of carrying angle, malunion, delayed union, myositis ossficans,or any significant postoperative complications. Conclusion: The method based on the CORA principles is more scientific and effective. It is a worth promoted surgical method.
