By searching the literature, observing the anatomy of elbow joint of healthy human and 3DCT images from children suffered from supracondylar fracture of humerus, we tried to prove the correlation between rotation angle of distal part of supracondylar fracture and incidence of cubitus varus based on the measurements and analyses of Nemo angle, Baumann angle and Carrying angle. On this basis, the standards for rotation angle of distal part of supracondylar fracture of humerus would be formulated, and we are about to verify the clinical effectiveness of Nemo angle. We are expecting of obtaining changes of Carrying angle indirectly by measuring Nemo angle. We’ve found through our research that the normal range of Nemo angle is 15.62±7.54°and there is a close inverse correlation between Nemo angle and Carrying angle, which means the Carrying angle decreases with the increasing of Nemo angle. However, this study’s sample capacity of clinical cases is not enough, so the obtained result is still preliminary, larger sample data accumulation is still needed to determine its value in clinical application.
