The Clinical Effect Observation On The Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Herniation By Shentong Zhuyu Decoction Combined With Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect and safety on the treatment of lumbar disc herniation by Shentong Zhuyu Decoction combined with percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy to guide clinical practice.Method:The study subjects were patients who were diagnosed with herniated lumbar disc herniation and needed to undergo percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy at the Department of Orthopaedics of the People's Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2018 to November 2019.Included in the study according to the diagnostic criteria of Chinese and Western Medicine,100 cases.Divided into two groups according to the random number table method.The test group was treated with Shentong Zhuyu Decoction combined with intervertebral foramen.The control group was treated with intervertebral foramen.Both groups were instructed to rest in bed after surgery to guide functional exercise.The follow-up period was 8 weeks,and the patients were evaluated for waist and leg pain using the straight leg elevation test angle and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS).The Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)was used to evaluate the improvement of patients' quality of life.Condition,meanwhile,the modified Macnab curative effect evaluation standard was used to evaluate the clinical curative effect of the patients.During the follow-up,outpatient follow-up visits were performed at 1 week,4 weeks,and 8 weeks after surgery,and the corresponding straight leg elevation test angle and VAS score were filled.The ODI index scale was filled at 4 weeks and 8 weeks after The clinical efficacy of patients was evaluated by modified Macnab efficacy evaluation standard at 8 weeks after operation.Results:1.A total of 100 patients were included.50 patientsin the test group,with an average age of(55.70±10.74)years and an average course of disease of(44.44±23.16)months.Among them,33 patients were prominent in L4-5 and L5-S1 were 33 and 17 were in the prominent segment.50 patients in the control group,with an average age of(57.74±12.52)years and an average disease duration of(43.88±22.73)months.Among them,31 patients and 19 patients had prominent segments of L4-5 and L5-S1,respectively.2.The angles of the straight leg elevation test at both follow-up time points of the two groups of patients were significantly improved compared with those before surgery(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in the angle of the straight leg elevation test between the two groups at 1 week after surgery(P>0.05).The improvement of the straight leg elevation test angle was more significant in the test group than in the control group at 4 weeks and 8 weeks after operation(P<0.05).3.The VAS scores of the two groups of patients at each follow-up time point were significantly lower than those before surgery(P<0.05).At 1 week after surgery,there was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).The test group at 4weeks and 8 weeks after surgery,the VAS score decreased more significantly than the control group(P<0.05).4.The ODI scores of the two groups of patients at each follow-up time point were significantly lower than those before surgery(P<0.05).The ODI index of the test group at 4weeks and 8 weeks after surgery was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).5.The total excellent and good rate of the test group and the control group at 8 weeks after operation were 92% and 86%,respectively.The total good and good rate of the test group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).6.No recurrence was found during the two groups during follow-up.Conclusion:The clinical effect of Shentong Zhuyu Decoction combined with foraminoscopy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation is significant,which is beneficial to the recovery of patients' postoperative body function.
