Effect Of Taohong Siwu Decoction And Wuling Powder On Early Swelling And Pain After Total Knee Arthroplasty

Objective:To observe the effect of Taohong Siwu Decoction and Wuling Powder on early swelling and pain after the first total knee arthroplasty,and to provide guidance for clinical treatment.Methods:A total of 90 patients in the department of arthroplasty of our hospital from January 2019 to December 2019 who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria and underwent unilateral total knee arthroplasty for the first time were selected as the study subjects.The 90 subjects were randomly divided into observation group and control group.Both groups were treated with routine analgesia and detumescence.On the basis of routine treatment,the observation group began to take Taohong Siwu Decoction and Wuling Powder orally on the first day after the operation,with 1 dose daily and 2 weeks of continuous administration.VAS pain scores,the circumference of the affected limb was 10 cm above the upper pole of the patella and 10 cm below the lower pole of the patella,activity of the affected knee,serum CRP and plasma D dimer were collected for patients in the two groups 1 day before surgery and 1,3,7 and 14 days after surgery.Results:Complete follow-up was obtained in 84 cases.There was no significant difference in gender,age,BMI,surgical site,surgical duration and intraoperative blood loss between the two groups(P> 0.05);There was no significant difference in VAS score,activity of affected knee,CRP,and D dimer between the two groups 1 day before surgery,1 day after surgery and14 days after surgery(P> 0.05);VAS scores on the 3rd and 7th day after the operation showed statistically significant differences in the activity degree of the affected knee,CRP and D dimer observation group compared with the control group(P < 0.05);1 day before surgery,there was no significant difference in the circumference of the two groups at 10 cm above the patella pole and 10 cm below the patella pole(P> 0.05);There was no significant difference in the swelling value between the two groups on the first day after surgery(P> 0.05);The swelling value of the observation group was better than that of the control group on day 3,7and 14 after the operation(P < 0.05)Conclusion:Taohong Siwu Decoction and Wuling Powder can effectively relieve the early pain and swelling after the first unilateral total knee replacement,improve the patients' joint activity,which is conducive to the early functional exercise of the patients in time,so as to promote rehabilitation,which is worthy of clinical application.
