Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with cycle periodic method on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS)ovulation disorder with kidney deficiency and blood stasis type,and provide a reference for the clinical application of acupuncture to treat PCOS.Methods:Sixty-eight PCOS patients of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type that met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 34 cases in each group.Patients in the observation group who accepted acupuncture Combined with Periodic Method,and patients in control group took letrozole.The patients in each group were treated continuously for 3 menstrual cycles.Observe the changes in TCM symptom scores and ovarian volume before and after treatment in both groups of patients;record follicular development,ovulation,endometrial thickness after ovulation,pregnancy outcomes,and adverse reactions during treatment,and finally the collected data were analyzed statistically.Results:1.Comparison of TCM symptom score:Compared with before treatment,the symptom scores of TCM in both groups were significantly reduced after treatment,with a very significant difference(P<0.01);compared between groups,the effect of the observation group was significantly better than the control group,with a significant difference(P<0.05).2.Comparison of induced ovulation:After treatment,the ovulation rate in the observation group was 75.28%,and the ovulation rate in the control group was 78.41%.There was no statistical difference between the groups(P>0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the cycle rate of single dominant follicles after treatment(P>0.05);After treatment,multiple dominant follicle cycle rates were compared between groups,the observation group was significantly lower than the control group,with significant differences(P<0.05);After treatment,the LUFS cycle rate was compared between the groups,the observation group was significantly lower than the control group,with significant differences(P<0.05).3.There was no statistically significant difference in endometrial thickness between the first menstrual cycle(P>0.05);compared with the endometrial thickness of the second menstrual cycle,the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,with a very significant difference(P<0.01);compared with the endometrial thickness of the second menstrual cycle,the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,with a very significant difference(P<0.01).4.Comparison of ovarian volume:Compared with before treatment,the volume of ovaries on both sides of the two groups was significantly reduced after treatment,with a very significant difference(P<0.01);there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).5.Comparison of pregnancy outcomes:In the first menstrual cycle,4 people in the observation group were pregnant and 3 people in the control group were pregnant,there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05);in the second menstrual cycle,2people in the observation group were pregnant and 2 people in the control group were pregnant,there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05);in the thirdmenstrual cycle,8 people in the observation group were pregnant and 1 people in the control group were pregnant.The observation group was significantly higher than the control group,and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The total pregnancy rate in the observation group was 42.42%,and the pregnancy rate in the control group was18.75%.The observation group was significantly higher than the control group.There was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).6.Comparison of adverse reactions:During the treatment,2 cases of vaginal bleeding,3cases of weight gain,4 cases of nausea,and 5 cases of fatigue were found in the control group.There were no obvious adverse reaction occurred in the observation group,with a significant difference(P <0.05).Conclusion:1.Periodic therapy of acupuncture can improve the symptoms of TCM in patients with kidney deficiency and blood stasis type,which is safe without obvious side effects.2.Periodic therapy of acupuncture is similar to letrozole in promoting ovulation,and it is more stable to promote the predominance of follicles,which can avoid multiple pregnancy.3.Periodic therapy of acupuncture can increase the patient's endometrial thickness and pregnancy rate.4.Periodic therapy of acupuncture and letrozole can reduce the abnormally increased ovarian volume of PCOS.
