Clinical Observation On Acupuncture Combined With Metformin Kidney Blood Stasis Syndrome Adolescents With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective:To observe the clinical effect about acupuncture combined metformin on treatment of PCOS kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome in adolescents, in order to provide a more effective treatment for the adolescent PCOS patients.Methods:Select60patients of PCOS kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome in adolescents,who were diagnosed in gynecological outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January,2013to December,2013. All of the patients were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group and the control group.The treatment group were given the peroral metformin tablets at a dose of500mg each time, three times a day for12weeks, and cooperated with acupuncture treatment simultaneously. The acupuncture treatment were started at the third day of spontaneous menstrual bleeding or progesterone withdrawal,30minutes each time, twice a week for12weeks.The consecutive two groups of acupoints were used interchangeably,and the acupuncture interval were2-4days.The control group were only given the peroral metformin tablets500mg each time, three times a day for12weeks.Observed and recorded the changes of BMI,T,FSH,LH,LH/FSH,FINS,FBQHOMA-IR,clinical symptoms of TCM, ovarian volume and numbers of follicles before and after the treatment in both groups,comparing the differences of the clinical curative effect. Results:BMI,T,LH,LH/FSH,FINS,HOMA-IR,the symptoms score of TCM,ovarian volume and numbers of follicles were significantly different before and after treatment in both groups(p<0.05). FSH and FBG were not significantly different before and after treatment in both groups(p>0.05). T,LH,LH/FSH,FINS and the symptoms score of TCM were significantly different between two groups (p<0.05),while ovarian volume and numbers of follicles were not significantly different (p>0.05). The total effective rate of the treatment group was93.33%while the control group was66.67%,the difference has statistical significance(p <0.05).Conclusion:Both of the two groups can improve the condition of PCOS kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome in adolescents.The clinical curative effect of the acupuncture combined with metformin on treatment of PCOS kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome in adolescents is better than metformin used alone in improving T,LH,LH/FSH,FINS and total effective,while there is no difference in reducing ovarian volume, the number of follicles and HOMA-IR.
