Clinical Study On Combination Acupuncture And Medicine In Treating Kidney Deficiency And Phlegm Stasis Type Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome With Insulin Resistance

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with medicine in treating kidney deficiency and phlegm stasis type of polycystic ovary syndrome with insulin resistance.In comparison to the effect of Chinese medicine combined with western medicine and purely western medicine in treating kidney deficiency and phlegm stasis type of polycystic ovary syndrome with insulin resistance,to prove that acupuncture combined with medicine therapy has good effects and advantages.Method:The kidney deficiency and phlegm stasis type of PCOS-IR patients meeting the diagnosis standard were collected and divided into three groups:control group,treatment group 1 and treatment group 2.The control group used metformin purely.The treatment group 1 used Shouwujiangqi decoction combined with metformin.At the same time,the treatment group 2 used Shouwujiangqi decoction combined with metformin and acupuncture.Three groups were treated for three months.Before and after the treatment,observe the improvement of clinical symptoms such as menstruation,hirsutism,acne,fasting blood-glucose,fasting insulin and insulin resistance.At the same time,observe the changes of endocrine indexes,body mass index and basal body temperature.Result:(1)In improving traditional Chinese medicine syndrome,the treatment group 1 was similar to the treatment group 2,but both of them were better than the control group.(2)The group 1 and the group 2 significantly improved the menstrual cycle,hirsutism and acne(P<0.05)after the treatment,while the control group did not(P>0.05).After treatment,the group 1 and the group 2 were similar in improving menstrual cycle and hirsutism(P>0.05).In the treatment of acne,the efficacy in the group 2 was better than that in the group 1(P<0.05).(3)Three groups observably lowered T and LH levels(P<0.05),the comparison of FSH and E2 levels were no significant difference(P>0.05)before and after the treatment.The efficacy in reduction of the T and LH levels in the group 2 was significantly better than that in the other two groups,and the other two groups were similar.(4)Three groups could reduce the fasting insulin and the HOMA-IR(P<0.05),the comparison of the fasting blood-glucose was no difference before and after treatment(P>0.05).The efficiency of reducing the FINS level and the HOMA-IR level,the treatment group 2 was obviously better than the treatment group l,the treatment group 1 was better than the control group.(5)Three groups could markedly reduce body mass index(P<0.05).The efficiency of reducing body mass index,the treatment group 2 was obviously better than the treatment group l,the treatment group 1 was better than the control group.(6)Three groups could improve BBT(P<0.05).The efficacy in improvement of BBT in the group 2 was significantly better than that in the group l.At the same time,The efficacy in improvement of BBT in the group 1 was better than that in the control group.(7)In respect of total effects,the group 2 was better than the other two groups,while the group 1 was similar to the control group.Conclusion:Shouwujiangqi decoction combined with metformin and acupuncture to cure kidney deficiency and phlegm stasis type of patients with PCOS-IR,could improve patients' TCM syndrome,menstrual cycle,hirsutism,acne,insulin resistance and basal body temperature.In addition,it could regulate endocrine and loss weight.The effect is remarkable.The effect of acupuncture combined with medicine therapy is exact,and it's better than combination of Chinese traditional and western medicine or western medicine therapy independently.
