Objective: Observations on the clinical efficacy of intra-articular injection combined with electroacupuncture at Jiaji points for treating acute lumbar facet joint disorder, and to provide a new method for clinical treatment of acute lumbar facet joint disorder.Method: From February to December 2018,60 patients who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria were randomly allocated into the treatment group and the control group,30 cases in each group. The treatment group underwent ultrasound-guided lumbar facet joint injection combined with electroacupuncture at Jiaji points. The electroacupuncture stimulation course lasted 2 weeks;the control group underwent lumbar facet joint injection. The VAS score, the lumbar range of motion and the Oswestry disability index of the two groups were collected before treatment,1 day,7 days, and 14 days after treatment.Result:There was no significant difference in gender, age, duration of disease,BMI index,VAS score, lumbar range of motion, and Oswestry disability index between the two groups(P>0.05).The VAS score,VAS efficacy evaluation, lumbar range of motion, and Oswestry disability index at 1 day,7 days, and 14 days after treatment are as follow.1.Comparison of VAS score between two groupsThe VAS scores of the two groups decreased after 14 days of treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS score of the treatment group was slightly lower than that of the control group 1 day after treatment, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);After 7 days and 14 days, the VAS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the two groups were both decreased after treatment, but the treatment group was superior to the control group at 7 and 14 days after treatment.2.Comparison of VAS efficacy evaluation between two groupsThe total effective rate was 93.3% in the treatment group,23 cases(76.67%)were remarkably effective,5 cases(16.67%)were effective, and 2 case(6.66%)was ineffective. The total effective rate of the control group was 80%,11 cases(36.67%)were remarkably effective,13 cases(43.33%)were effective and 6 cases(20%)were ineffective. There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between two groups(P>0.05),but the remarkably effective rate between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Comparison of lumbar range of motion between two groupsThe lumbar range of motion of the two groups both increased 14 days after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The lumbar range of motion of the treatment group was better than that of the control group 1 day after treatment(P>0.05).7 days and 14 days after treatment, the lumbar range of motion of the treatment group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Comparison of Oswestry disability index between two groupsThe ODI of the two groups both decreased after 14 days of treatment(P<0.05).The ODI of the treatment group was slightly lower than that of the control group 1 day after treatment(P>0.05).But at 7 days and 14 days, the ODI of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Intra-articular injection combined with electroacupuncture at Jiaji points and simplely intra-articular injection both have a certain effect on acute lumbar facet joint disorder.However,intra-articular injection combined with electroacupuncture at Jiaji points is superior to simplely intra-articular injection in the treatment of acute lumbar facet joint disorders in relieving pain, improving lumbar range of motion and improving disability. The long-term efficacy of intra-articular injection combined with electroacupuncture at Jiaji points and simplely intra-articular injection remains to be seen.
