| Objective Observe the clinical efficacy of Mongolian Astragalus Decoction in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue and the impact on the quality of life and immune function of patients,so as to explore the possible mechanism of Mongolian Astragalus Decoction in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue.Methods A total of 30 patients with cancer-related fatigue who met the case inclusion criteria in the oncology ward of Inner Mongolia hospital of traditional Chinese medicine were collected for clinical observation was made by self-controlled before-and-after study.In addition to the routine symptomatic treatment required by the patients,Mongolian Astragalus Decoction was administered orally twice a day,once each morning and evening,100 ml each time(including 30 g of crude drugs),taking 15 days as a course of treatment,a total of 1 course of treatment.The Piper Fatigue Scale and Qi Deficiency Symptom Graded Quantification Score were used to evaluate the changes in patient fatigue and Qi deficiency symptoms before and after treatment,and the KPS functional status score was used to evaluate the changes in patient quality of life before and after treatment.And inspection the immune function indicators of patients,namely T lymphocyte subsets(CD3~+,CD4~+,CD8~+,CD4~+/CD8~+),natural killer cell percentage(NK%),immunoglobulins(Ig G,Ig A,Ig M),and interleukin-6(IL-6)levels to observe the effect of Mongolian Astragalus Decoction on immune function in patients with cancer-related fatigue.Results(1)In terms of score:after treatment,both the total score of fatigue and the scores of behavioral,emotional,physical and cognitive dimensions in piper scoring scale decreased significantly before treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.01).The symptom score of qi deficiency increased after treatment compared with that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The KPS score of patients after treatment was higher than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).(2)In terms of immune function:After the treatment was completed,the contents of CD3~+,CD4~+,and CD4~+/CD8~+in the T lymphocyte subsets of the patients were all increased compared with those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The CD8~+level increased from the value of the meanąstandard deviation,but the difference was not statistically significant compared with that before treatment(P>0.05);The level of NK%increased after treatment compared with that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of Ig A,Ig G and Ig M were higher than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);IL-6 levels were lower than before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)In terms of efficacy evaluation:The number of cases completed in this study was 30.According to the piper fatigue score,there were 0 cases of recovery,2 cases of obvious effect(6.67%),19 cases of effective effect(63.33%),and 9 cases of ineffective effect(30%),and the total effective rate was 70%.According to the score of TCM syndromes,0 cases were cured,4 cases were significantly effective(13.33%),20 cases were effective(66.67%),and 6 cases were ineffective(20%),and the total effective rate was 80%.Conclusions Mongolian Astragalus Decoctionon can alleviate the cancer-related fatigue of the patient and relieve the symptoms of Qi deficiency syndrome,to a certain extent can improve the immune surveillance and immune defense ability of the immune system,improve the level of cellular immunity and humoral immunity,reduce the expression of inflammatory cytokines,and thus improve the overall state of immune function,enhance the body's immunity,ameliorate the quality of life of patients. |
