Objective:This study collected the data of TTF-1,Napsin A,P63 and the four diagnosis data of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer(NSCLC)patients and analyzed the correlation between the two to provide objective reference indicators for TCM syndrome differentiation as well as more ideas for TCM treatment of NSCLC.Methods:This study enrolled 100 NSCLC patients as a sample. They were classified and staged according to the standards of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine and divided into four groups by TCM syndrome which was confirmed by the attending and above TCM physician.Statistical analysis was performed on TTF-1,Napsin A,P63 and other indicators of each group.Results:1.The TCM syndrome had correlation with the clinical stages of NSCLC(P<0.05).2.The expression of TTF-1,Napsin A and P63 were correlated with the pathological types and gender of NSCLC(P<0.01).The expression percentage of TTF-1 and Napsin A both were 100.0% in lung adenocarcinoma, which were more common in women and the positive rate were 93.3% in women. The expression of P63 was mainly found in lung squamous carcinoma which was 100.0%.P63 was more expressed and the positive rate was 52.7% in men.3.The expressions of TTF-1,Napsin A,and P63 were correlated with the gene mutation patterns of lung cancer patients(P<0.01).The positive rate of TTF-1 and Napsin A in patients with gene mutation both were 97.6%.4.The expression levels of TTF-1,Napsin A,and P63 were correlated with TCM syndrome of NSCLC(P<0.01).The expressions of Napsin A and TTF-1 in different TCM syndrome in turn from high to low were:Qi deficiency and phlegm-damp syndrome,Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome,Qi and blood stasis syndrome, syndrome of Yin deficiency and toxin heat.Their positive rates in turn were:83.9%,78.8%,75.0%,50.0%.The expression of P63 in different TCM syndrome types in turn from high to low was:syndrome of Yin deficiency and toxin heat,Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome,Qi and Blood stasis syndrome,Qi deficiency and phlegm-damp syndrome. The positive rates were:75.0%,39.4%,25.0%,and 16.1%.Conclusion:1.The syndrome differentiation of TCM is related to the stage of NSCLC.The syndrome of Qi deficiency and phlegm-dampness and Qi and blood stasis syndrome are more common in patients with stage I and II of NSCLC,however Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome and syndrome of Yin deficiency and toxin heat are more common in stage III and IV.2.The expressions of TTF-1,Napsin A,and P63 are correlated with the pathological type, gender and gene mutation of NSCLC.Napsin A and TTF-1 mainly express in lung adenocarcinoma, especially in the women and patients with genetic mutations.Napsin A and TTF-1 can be used as the diagnostic reference index of lung adenocarcinoma.P63 mainly expresses in lung squamous carcinoma, especially in the men and patients without genetic mutationan, which can be used as a diagnostic reference index for lung squamous carcinoma.3.The expression levels of TTF-1,Napsin A,and P63 are correlated with TCM syndrome differentiation of NSCLC.The expressions of Napsin A and TTF-1 are highest in the syndrome of Qi deficiency and phlegm-damp and the expressions of P63 is the highest in the syndrome of Yin deficiency and toxin heat, which verify the theory of Outer Appearance from the Inside in TCM and can be the objective reference of TCM syndrome differentiation of lung cancer.
