Clinical Study Of Yiyiren Decoction In Treating Knee Osteoarthritis Of Wind Cold And Dampness Type

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of Yiyiren decoction on knee osteoarthritis of wind cold and dampness type.Method:A retrospective study was performed to collect patients with wind cold and dampness type knee osteoarthritis who were treated with Yiyiren decoction or celecoxib capsule in Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2018 to August 2019.A total of 112 cases were expressed by the Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group.69 cases with complete case data were screened according to the criteria for inclusion,of which 34 cases were in the Chinese medicine group and 35 cases were in the western medicine group.The VAS score,WOMAC score,TCM syndrome score,pain recurrence and adverse reactions of the two groups before treatment,1 week,2 weeks,3 weeks,4 weeks and 1 month,3 months after treatment were compared to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Yiyiren decoction in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis of wind cold and dampness type.Results:(1)Before treatment,there was no significant difference in age,gender,disease course,VAS score,WOMAC score,and TCM syndrome score between the two groups of patients(P> 0.05).(2)VAS score:The VAS scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P <0.001).After 1 week and 2 weeks of treatment,the pain relief of the western medicine group was better than that of the traditional Chinese medicine group(P <0.05).At 3 and 4 weeks of treatment,there was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups(P> 0.05);1 month and 3 months after the end of treatment,compared with the VAS scores in the two groups,the Chinese medicine group was significantly better than the western medicine group(P <0.001).(3)Comparison of pain recurrence:After one month of treatment,the pain recurrence rates of the two groups of patients were 8.82% and 31.43%,respectively.The pain recurrence rate of the Chinese medicine group was lower than that of the western medicine group(P <0.05);(4)WOMAC score:After treatment,the WOMAC score of both groups was reduced compared with that before treatment(P <0.001).There was no significant difference in WOMAC score between the two groups after 1 week and 2 weeks of treatment(P> 0.05).After 3 and 4 weeks of treatment,the WOMAC score of the Chinese medicine group decreased more than that of the western medicine group(P <0.05).1 month and 3 months after the end of treatment,compared with the WOMAC scores in the two groups,the Chinese medicine group was significantly better than the western medicine group(P <0.001).(5)TCM syndrome score:The scores of TCM syndromes after treatment in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P <0.001).There was no significant difference in TCM syndrome scores between the two groups after 1 week and 2 weeks of treatment(P> 0.05).At 3 and 4 weeks of treatment,the TCM syndrome score of the Chinese medicine group decreased more than that of the Western medicine group(P < 0.05);1 month and 3 months after the end of treatment,compared with the scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups,the Chinese medicine group was significantly better than the western medicine group(P <0.001).(6)TCM syndrome improvement rate: After 4 weeks of treatment,the TCM syndrome improvement rate of the Chinese medicine group was 91.18%,and the western medicine group was 82.86%.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P> 0.05).(7)Safety evaluation:During the medication,there were no serious adverse reactions in the two groups of patients,of which there were 2 mild adverse reactions in the western medicine group and no adverse reactions in the traditional Chinese medicine group.Conclusions:(1)Yiyiren decoction can relieve the pain of patients with knee osteoarthritis of wind cold and dampness type,improve the overall function of joints and syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine.It has no advantage in short-term efficacy,and even the analgesic effect is not as good as celecoxib capsules,but the effect is gradually equivalent to or better than celecoxib over time,and the pain recurrence rate is lower after drug withdrawal.(2)No adverse reactions occurred in patients taking Yiyiren decoction,which proved that the rate of adverse reactions of Yiyiren decoction is low,which has certain clinical application value.
