Clinical Efficacy Of Ji Sheng Tang For The Integrated Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Herniation With Liver-kidney Deficiency Pattern

Objective: To observe,study and summarize the clinical efficacy of Jì Sh?ng T?ng for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with liver-kidney deficiency pattern and to provide data support for further clinical research.Methods: 1.Sixty people diagnosed lumbar disc herniation with liver-kidney deficiency pattern from the orthopaedic outpatient clinic of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2017 to December 2018 were included.Then,the patients were equally randomized into basic treatment group and Jì Sh?ng T?ng combined with basic treatment group.The former was simply treated with celecoxib capsules(celebrex),traction,low back muscle exercise and health education was also been delivered.While the Jì Sh?ng T?ng combined with basic treatment group was given Jì Sh?ng T?ng,celecoxib capsules(celebrex),traction,low back muscle exercise and health education.2.Both groups of patients were required bed rest during treatment.A Week is a course of treatment,4 courses in total without interruption.3.The status of the patients before and after treatment was observed,compared and summarized.The VAS score,JOA lumbar pain score,TCM symptom grading quantitative scale score and were collected,and the safety index were taken into consideration for statistical analysis;the evaluation of the safety and clinical efficacy of the two groups was also conducted.Results: 1.There was no statistical difference(P>0.05)in the age,gender,course of disease,VAS score,JOA lumber pain score and TCM symptom classification quantitative scale score between the two groups before treatment.2.The overall effective rate of the basic treatment group is 73.34%,of which 6.67% healed,36.67% alleviative,30% effective,26.66% ineffective;the total effective rate of the Jì Sh?ng T?ng combined with basic treatment group is 90%,of which 20.00% healed,56.67% alleviative,13.33% effective,10% ineffective.It indicated that the clinical efficacy of the Jì Sh?ng T?ng combined with basic treatment group was better than that of basic treatment group.The difference had a statistical significance(P<0.05).3.The comparison of the VAS score,the JOA score and the TCM symptom quantification score between the two groups was not statistically significant before treatment(P>0.05),but was statistically significant after treatment(P<0.05),and the difference between the VAS score,the JOA score and the TCM symptom quantification score between the two groups before and after treatment was also statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Two groups both had a therapeutic effect on lumbar disc herniation with liver-kidney deficiency pattern.While,the Jì Sh?ng T?ng combined with basic treatment group was better than the basic treatment group in terms of reliving pain,promoting the recovery of functional disorders,and alleviating lumbar symptoms.This would show that the Jì Sh?ng T?ng combined with basic treatment group does have some clinical efficacy in treating lumbar disc herniation with liver-kidney deficiency pattern.Moreover,the vital signs,electrocardiograms,and blood drawing results of both groups of patients before and after treatment did not show significant abnormalities,indicating that the application of Jì Sh?ng T?ng is relatively safe.
