Objective:Based on the meridian cutaneous region theory,by observing the clinical effect of thorn-cold cupping therapy on chronic eczema, the clinical application value of thorn-cold cupping therapy in chronic eczema was clarified, and a new effective treatment method for chronic eczema was explored.Method:Randomized and controlled methods were used to observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture and cupping therapy in the treatment of chronic eczema.72 cases of chronic eczema patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into a control group and a treatment group by random number table method. The basic treatment(loratadine tablets+Shehuang cream),the treatment group was given acupuncture and cupping therapy plus basic treatment, the course of treatment was 4 weeks. At each observation time point(weeks 0,2,4,and 8),the EASI score, pruritus VAS score, and quality of life index of the two groups of patients were recorded, and adverse events and recurrences occurred during the study.Statistical analysis of curative effect was performed using SPSS26.0 statistical software.Result:1.The total effective rate in the treatment group was 87.88%,the total effective rate in the control group was 71.88%,p<0.05,and the two were not only different in value but also statistically significant;the recurrence rate in the treatment group was 10.34%.The recurrence rate in the group was 34.78%,p<0.05,the two were not only different in value, but also statistically significant.2.EASI score at each observation time point:(1)Comparison between the two groups: The treatment group and the control group have improved EASI scores at weeks 2,4,and 8 compared to week 0,suggesting that both groups have better clinical efficacy;(2)Comparison between groups: At 2,4,and 8 weeks, the EASI score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and there was a statistical difference(p <0.05),suggesting that the treatment group was superior to improving the area and severity of patients 'skin lesions.Control group;(3)In each EASI classification score, the degree of improvement of moss-like transformation(L)at each observation time point, the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, and there was a significant difference(P <0.001);In terms of swollen / infiltrated / pimple(I)and epidermal exfoliation(Ex)scores, there was no statistical difference between the two groups at P> 0.05;(4)Interaction has effects on scleroderma / infiltration / pimples and lichenification.3.Itching VAS score at each observation time point:(1)The treatment group and the control group improved the itching VAS score compared to 0 weeks at week 2 and 4;the magnitude of reducing the itching VAS score was roughly equivalent in both groups;(2)At the 8th week, the VAS score of pruritus in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and there was a statistical difference(p<0.05).(3)Interaction has an effect on the pruritus VAS score.4.DLQI scores before and after treatment:(1)In terms of DLQI scores before and after treatment,p<0.01,indicating that the two groups of treatment programs have improved the quality of life index of patients.(2)At the 4th week, compared with the DLQI scores of the two groups,p<0.05,which was statistically different, suggesting that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving patients' quality of life index. Conclusion:Acupuncture and cupping therapy based on the meridian cutaneous region theory is effective in treating chronic eczema and has better long-term effect. It is significantly better than the control group in improving the severity of skin lesions(especially mossy skin lesions)and itching. This treatment method broadens the clinical application of acupuncture and cupping therapy,is safe and effective, has few adverse reactions, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
