Research On The Compatibility And Clinical Application Of Pair-Medicines In Qianjin Fang

Qianjin Fang,including Beiji Qianjin Yaofang and Qianjin Yifang,is a great work completed by Sun Simiao from Tang Dynasty,who devoted his whole life to this book.The masterpiece collected numerous ancient famous prescriptions and proved recipes.Nevertheless,because of the complexity of the book and the huge numbers of prescriptions,this book is difficult to study.In this study,Qianjin Fang was researched through the method of pair-medicines in order to find the common characteristics between prescriptions and guide the clinic.The pair-medicines refers to the compatibility of two medicines,which has the characteristics of pithiness,fixed structure,and clinical practicality.It is the basic structure of the numerous prescriptions.Through the method of decomposing ancient prescriptions,Qianjin Fang associated pair-medicines to construct a large number of new prescriptions,so that the new prescriptions not only contain the essence of ancient prescriptions,but also adapt to time changes,and have implications for the treatment principles in later generations.Taking the time as a clue,the longitudinal study takes into account the academic status of Qianjin Fang,and clearly explain the application of the pair-medicines,and reflects the flexibility of the usages of pair-medicines and prescriptions.From a horizontal perspective,many pair-medicines in Qianjin Fang are characterized by the compatibilities of complementary and opposite-complement.The complementary compatibility highlights the combined effects of the two medicines,including the two traditional compatibilities of mutual reinforcement and mutual assistance.Opposite-complement is the unique compatibility of Qianjin Fang.It is combined with medicines opposed in property,flavor and efficacy,or breaks through the contraindications of mutual antagonism.It strengthens the power of medicine to deal with the complexity of the diseases,the depth of the disease positions,and the severeness of diseases.The research studies the compatibility of medicines from the horizontal perspective,and studies the application of medicines from the longitudinal perspective.Nevertheless,there are intersections between the horizontal and longitudinal perspective.Compatibility theory is the basis of clinical application.Therefore,this subject not only has the traditional scientific significance for Qianjin Fang's literatures and prescriptions collating,but also has practical clinical values.
