Ginseng is a kind of rare Chinese herbal medicine which has a lot of pharmacological effects, such as antitumor and antioxidation. According to the compatibility, the function of Chinese medicine can be achieved efficacy enhancing and toxicity reducing. Atractylodes, Astragalus, Chinese yam and Codonopsis Pilosulae also have anti-tumor and anti-oxidant effect, so the research will study the changes of chemical constituents and pharmacological effects before and after the compatibility of ginseng and the other four Chinese medicines. According to detecting the 16 ginsenoside monomers, the atractylenolideⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅱ, astragaloside, calycosin glucosidase, diosgenin, lobetyolin, the total sugar, the pharmacological effect and antioxidation of the products, the quality and effectiveness of the compatibilities were evaluated. Experimental results are as follows:1 、 Ginsenoside-Rg3 and protopanaxatriol contents of the compatible ginseng and Atractylodes were significantly higher than ginseng single decoction, but ginsenoside-Rg1, Re, Rf, Rb1, Rc, Rb2, Rb3, Rd, CK, the sum of 16 kinds of ginsenoside monomer, Atractylenolide Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and the total sugar contents were lower than single decoctions(P≤0.05).2、Ginsenoside-Rg1, Rc, Rb2, Rb3, F1, F2, Rg3, protopanaxatriol, CK, Rh2, the sum of 16 kinds of ginsenoside monomer and calycosin glucosidase contents of the compatible ginseng and Astragalus were significantly higher than single decoctions, but ginsenoside-Re, Rf, Rb1, astragaloside and the total sugar contents were lower than single decoctions. Besides, ginsenoside-Rg1, Rc, Rb2, Rb3, F1, F2, Rg3, protopanaxatriol, CK and Rh2 contents were significantly higher than the other 3 compatibilities and ginsenoside-Rg2 was significantly higher than the compatibility of ginseng with Atractylodes and ginseng with Chinese yam(P≤0.05).3、Ginsenoside-Rb3 and F1 contents of the compatible ginseng and Chinese yam were significantly higher than ginseng single decoction, but ginsenoside-Rg1, Re, Rf, Rb1, Rg2, Rc, Rb2, Rd, F2, Rg3, protopanaxatriol, CK, Rh2 and the sum of 16 kinds of ginsenoside monomer were lower than single decoctions and the total sugar content was lower than ginseng single decoction(P≤0.05).4、Ginsenoside-Rg1, protopanaxatriol, CK, protopanoxadiol and the sum of 16 kinds of ginsenoside monomer contents of the compatible ginseng and Codonopsis Pilosulae were significantly higher than the ginseng single decoction, but ginsenoside-Rb1, Rd and the total sugar contents were lower than single decoctions. Besides, ginsenoside-Re, Rf, Rb1, Rd and protopanoxdiol contents were significantly higher than the other 3 compatibility groups and ginsenoside-Rg2 was significantly higher than the compatibility of ginseng with Atractylodes and ginseng with Chinese yam(P≤0.05).5、The values of IC50 of ginseng and astragalus, Codonopsis, Atractylodes, Chinese yam compatibility groups on human breast cancer were 107.59 μg/m L, 400.90 μg/m L, 139.56 μg/m L, 287.00 μg/m L, and all the compatible groups were significantly higher than ginseng single decoction(P≤0.05).6、Total antioxidant capacity of Codonopsis Pilosulae was significantly higher than ginseng single decoction and other compatibility groups(P≤0.05). There was a significant difference in total phenolic content, compatible ginseng with Astragalus was significantly higher than ginseng single decoction and other 3 compatibility groups(P≤0.05). In addition to compatibility of ginseng and Chinese yam, the antioxidant capacity of compatibility groups was significantly higher than ginseng single decoction(P≤0.05).
