Clinical Observation Of Jiawei Qianshi Baizhu Powder On Treating Pediatric Diarrhea(Spleen Deficiency Syndrome)

OBJECTIVE:To observe the therapeutic effect of Jiawei Qianshi Baizhu Powder on spleen deficiency diarrhea in children,evaluate its effectiveness and safety,and provide a certain clinical basis for the prescription to treat this disease,for better utilize the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in treating spleen deficiency diarrhea in children.Methods:60 patients with spleen deficiency diarrhea who visited the pediatric clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM from December 2018 to December 2019 were taken as the subjects.Based on the randomized control principle,they were divided into a experimental group and a control group of 30 cases.The experimental group was treated with oral Chinese medicine Jiawei Qianshi Baizhu Powder,and the control group was treated with oral Chinese patent medicine Shenling Baizhu Powder.The children in both groups were given basic treatment(dietary guidance and fluid replacement)for 10 days.The comprehensive score before and after treatment was evaluated according to the quantitative score table.Statistical software was used to compare major and minor symptom relief within and between groups,as well as overall effectiveness and safety.Results:(1)Comprehensive curative effect evaluation:Among the 30 patients in the experimental group,10 cases were cured clinically,14 cases were markedly effective,4 cases were effective,2 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 93.33%;30 cases in the control group were clinically cured in 4 cases,7 cases were markedly effective,13 cases were effective,6 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 80.0%.Comparing the efficacy of the two groups with a P<0.05,it indicates that the overall efficacy of the experimental group is better than that of the control group.(2)Comparison within the group:Except for body weight loss in the control group,after treatment scores of other syndromes in the two groups of patients were lower than before treatment.After statistical examination,the experimental group except body weight loss,and the control group except diarrhea after eating and body weight loss,the differences of P value before and after treatment of other syndrome points were less than 0.05,confirming that both groups of drugs can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of children with spleen deficiency.(3)Comparison between groups:(1)The main symptoms:The curative effect of the test group on the number of stools and stool characteristics is better than that of the control group(P<0.05);(2)the minor symptoms:The experimental group had a better effect on diarrhea after eating than the control group(P <0.05),but the two groups had comparable effects on other minor symptoms(P> 0.05);(3)Total Syndrome Points:The total scores of the test group after treatment were lower than those of the control group(P <0.05),indicating that the experimental group was superior to the control group in relieving symptoms on spleen deficiency diarrhea in children.(4)Safety evaluation:No adverse events occurred during the treatment and observation of the two groups of children,and the safety of the two drugs was good.Conclusion:Jiawei Qianshi Baizhu Powder can effectively improve the symptoms of children with spleen deficiency diarrhea,and it is safe.It is worthy of clinical application.
