Clinical Study Of "Tongfu Xiezhuo Decoction" With Chemotherapy In The Treatment Of Advanced Pancreatic Cancer

Objective:This study used the "Tongxie Xiezhuo Method" combined with Tiogio alone to compare the clinical efficacy of Tiogio alone in the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer,and explored whether the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer with traditional Chinese and western medicine has greater clinical benefit.Methods:This study included 48 patients with advanced pancreatic cancer who were treated in the Oncology Department of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 01,2017 to December 31,2019 and whose TCM syndromes meet the "damp-heat-stasis syndrome".Group and control group,24 patients in each group.The control group was treated with Tiglio Capsule monotherapy,and the test group was treated with Chinese medicine on the basis of the control group.A total of 4 chemotherapy cycles were treated.Blood tests were performed every 10 days to monitor blood routine and liver function,and chemotherapy-related adverse reactions were evaluated every 20 days.The main observational indicators of the study were the disease control rate(DCR),the objective response rate(ORR),and the CA19-9 level.The secondary observational indicators were the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine,physical status(KPS score),chemotherapy-related adverse reactions,safety,chemotherapy Completion rate.The main observation indicators are evaluated after the end of the second cycle,and all observation indicators are evaluated after the end of the fourth cycle.Results:A total of 3 patients were removed or dropped out,and a total of 45 patients completed the observation.The test group and the control group were 23 and 22,respectively.The findings are as follows:1.The two groups were basically the same in terms of gender,age,smoking history,drinking history,family history,transfer of important organs,previous Western medicine treatment,CA19-9level,the sum of the longest path of the lesion,TCM symptom score,and KPS score.Comparability(p> 0.05).2.After 2 cycles: The test group was slightly higher in DCR and ORR than the control group(95.8% vs91.7%,33.3% vs 20.8%,P=0.289).CA19-9 in both groups decreased after treatment compared with that before treatment,but None were statistically significant(p> 0.05).3.After 4 cycles: After the treatment,the experimental group has significantly improved KPS score and TCM syndrome efficacy compared with before treatment and the improvement is better than the control group(P <0.05).After treatment,the DCR,ORR,The effective rate of CA19-9was higher than that of the control group,but it was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).4.The chemotherapy completion rates of the experimental group and the control group were 95.8% and 91.6%,respectively,and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(p> 0.05).5.Chemotherapy-related adverse reactions: Combined with traditional Chinese medicine can significantly reduce the side effects of chemotherapy,especially in the gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea,vomiting,and diarrhea(p <0.05),and can reduce the incidence of hypo appetite to a certain extent(p> 0.05)).6.Safety: Leukopenia and neutrophil decrease,hemoglobin and platelet decrease,alanine aminotransferase elevation,and incidence of grade III and above safety events were lower in the test group than in the control group,and the differences were not statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Tongtong Xiezhuo Method and Tigioo Capsule failed to fundamentally increase DCR,ORR and reduce CA19-9 levels,but it can significantly improve the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine,KPS score and significantly reduce chemotherapy-related digestion in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer,so the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine throughout the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer has significant clinical significance.
