A Randomized Controlled Trial(RCT) Of Sanjie Kechuan Oral Liquid In The Treatment Of Post-Infectious Cough With The Type Of Feng Han Lian Lung

Objective: A randomized and controlled trial was conducted to observe the changes of cough symptom score,TCM syndrome score,Leicester Couch Questionnaire(LCQ),Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and other indicators to evaluate the clinical effect of Sanjie Kechuan Oral Liquid in the treatment of Post-Infectious Cough with the Type of Feng Han Lian Lung.Methods: 90 patients with Post-Infectious Cough with the Type of Feng Han Lian Lung who met the inclusion criteria will be treated in the emergency department outpatient service and classic ward outpatient service of Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM from January 2018 to June 2019,were randomly divided into experimental group(45 cases)and control group(45 cases).The experimental group was treated with Sanjie Kechuan Oral Liquid and the control group with Suhuang Zhike Capsule.The course of treatment was 2 weeks.Observing the changes of relevant therapeutic indexes of the two groups on the day of treatment,one week of treatment,two weeks of treatment and one month after treatment,which were filled in the Case Report Form.The data were analyzed by SPSS 26.0 statistical software,and the results were analyzed and discussed.Results:(1)Before treatment,the demographic data and the degree of illness of the two groups were consistent and comparable;(2)Both groups can reduce TCM syndrome score,the experimental group is better than the control group;(3)The scores of cough symptom,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and Leicester Couch Questionnaire(LCQ)were all decreased in the two groups.In the early stage of treatment(1 week),the experimental group was better than the control group.In the late stage of treatment(2 weeks)and the follow-up period(1 month),there was no difference between the two groups;(4)In terms of safety and adverse reactions,there was no difference between the two groups.Conclusion:Sanjie Kechuan Oral Liquid has definite therapeutic effect on Post-Infectious Cough with the Type of Feng Han Lian Lung.It can significantly reduce the score of cough symptoms,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and the total score of TCM syndrome,improve the quality of life of cough,and have high safety.Compared with Suhuang Zhike Capsule,Sanjie Kechuan Oral Liquid can relieve cough faster.
