Objective:A preliminary questionnaire survey was conducted on diet, exercise, sleep, mood and other related factors in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome to identify risk factors and protective factors for the occurrence of PCOS.The distribution of TCM syndromes in PCOS and the factors related to TCM syndromes were discussed. The purpose is to provide data support for the clinical identification of traditional Chinese medicine, and to provide more convenient and feasible solutions for the formulation of PCOS prevention and treatment strategies.Method:From September 2017 to January 2020,710 patients who were diagnosed with PCOS in the gynecology clinic of Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were investigated. The control group selected 665 menstrual women with normal menstruation at the hospital physical examination center and hospital clinic during the same period.Collect the information of the two groups, including general conditions, living habits, past history, menstrual history, marriage and childbearing history;PCOS group of auxiliary examinations such as sex hormones, islet function,PCOS group of traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic information such as symptoms, signs, tongue,Pulse image, establish a database, use Epidata3.0 and SPSS 25.0 software for data collation, using binary logistic regression analysis of PCOS risk factors and protective factors, frequency analysis to explore the distribution of TCM syndrome types.Results:1.The PCOS group and the control group indicated by single factor analysis that BMI,WHR,dietary preferences(spicy, sweet, greasy, light),irregular diet, drinking sugary beverages, morning and night of falling asleep, length of sleep, sleep quality, emotional disorders(Irritability, depression, anxiety),emotional calm, stress, exercise and other factors have a certain correlation with PCOS(P<0.05).2.Binary logistic regression analysis of polycystic ovary syndrome indicated that polycystic ovary syndrome was positively correlated with WHR,sleep quality, late falling asleep, emotional anxiety, and stress(P<0.05,OR>1).It is inversely related to light diet, peaceful mood, and regular exercise(P<0.05,OR<1).3.Among the 710 cases of polycystic ovary syndrome studied, the most common TCM syndromes are 157 cases of kidney deficiency and liver stagnation syndrome(22.1%),96 cases of kidney deficiency and stagnation phlegm dampness syndrome(13.5%),and spleen and kidney syndrome. There were 92 cases(13.0%)of deficiency phlegm and dampness syndrome.Among the single syndromes, kidney deficiency syndrome accounted for the majority, with 634 cases(89.3%),followed by liver depression syndrome(429 cases(60.4%)),phlegm dampness syndrome(335 cases(47.2%),and spleen deficiency syndrome(240 cases)(Accounting for 33.8%)and208 cases of blood stasis syndrome(accounting for 29.3%).4.Analysis of related factors of TCM syndrome types showed that emotional depression, emotional anxiety, and stress are risk factors for liver depression syndrome(P<0.05,OR>1);irregular diet, and poor sleep quality are risk factors for spleen deficiency syndrome(P<0.05,OR>1);WHR and irregular diet are risk factors for phlegm-dampness syndrome(P<0.05,OR>1);exercise is a protective factor for blood stasis syndrome(P<0.05,OR <1).Conclusion:1.The main risk factors of polycystic ovary syndrome are high waist-to-hip ratio, poor sleep quality, late falling asleep, emotional anxiety, and stress. The main protective factors are light diet, calm mood, and regular exercise.Attention should be paid to PCOS patients' diet, exercise, sleep, and mood Health management.2.The TCM syndromes of PCOS in this study are mainly compound syndromes formed by single syndromes such as kidney deficiency syndrome, liver depression syndrome, phlegm dampness syndrome, spleen deficiency syndrome, and blood stasis syndrome. The common compound syndromes are kidney deficiency and liver stagnation, kidney deficiency and liver stagnation and phlegm dampness, spleen andkidney deficiency and phlegm dampness. The nature of the disease is mostly both virtual and actual.3.There is a certain correlation between living habits and TCM syndromes.Understanding patients' living habits can provide basis for clinical treatment of TCM.
