Purpose:In this study,the Delphi expert consultation method was mainly used to build a model of competence for elder care positions.Based on this model,a program for undergraduate course of aged nursing was constructed.It provided a reference for the undergraduate level education of the elderly nursing in China.Methods:This study used Delphi method,literature analysis method,expert meeting method and other methods.Among them,Delphi method was the most important method.As follows:1.Literature analysis method.Through reading the relevant papers on the competence model in the nursing field and elder care education,the research group learned about the development and status of nursing competency models and elder care education at home and abroad.Through the analysis of the current situation of elder nursing education in the United States,Japan,Canada and other countries,the research group summarized the enlightenment for elder nursing education in our country.Through the analysis of the literature,combined with the role of geriatric nurses,referring to the relevant research on nurses' competence and the requirements of different countries for the competence of geriatric nursing undergraduates,combined with the researcher's observation of outstanding nurses in geriatrics,the competence of geriatric nursing posts entries and the subjects in aged care courses had been formed2.Expert meeting method.The members of the research group organizeda total of 7 authoritative experts in the fields of elder care education(3),geriatric clinical nursing(2),psychology(1),and statistics(1)discussed the competence entries and courses for elder care positions3.Delphi method.Delphi method was mainly used in this study.According to the inclusion criteria,authoritative experts were selected including the fields of elderly clinical nursing,nursing management and nursing education.In this study,18 experts were consulted in the form of questionnaires for two rounds.Based on the opinions of experts,data statistics,and discussion by the experts in the research group,a post-competency model for aged care and a post-care curriculum based on post-competency model were finally constructed.Results:1.The composition of the elder care direction nurse competency model included 6 first-level indicators and 44 second-level indicators.The weight analysis of the six first-level indicators,the weight ranking was A theoretical knowledge(26.23%),B practical skills(26.23%),C professional literacy(18.99%),F communication ability(13.03%),E management ability(8.69%),D personality traits(6.83%).2.The curriculum of competency-based geriatric nursing undergraduate education was constructed,and the curriculum consisted of 7 curriculum modules and 44 curriculum subjects.Conclusion:1.This study finally established a post-competence model in the direction of elderly care through literature analysis,expert meeting method,Delphi method and other methods,and based on this model,a course setting program for elderly care was established.2.Established a post-competence model for the aged care direction,combined with the aged care practice,can provide a reference in the evaluation,training,selection and other aspects of the aged care talents.3.Establish a course setting plan for the direction of aged care,highlighting the characteristics of aged care specialty,and provide a referencefor the development of aged care specialty in China.
