Objective: This study used a meta-analysis method to systematically evaluate the overall efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine combined with methimazole in the treatment of hyperthyroidism, evaluate its role in clinical reflection of thyroid function-related laboratory indicators, and clinical efficiency and safety analysis for the future combination of Chinese medicine Methamidazole provides evidence-based evidence for the treatment of hyperthyroidism. Methods: Design paper retrieval strategies, determine keywords or topics, and search Chinese and English databases, including Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(CBM),Weipu Information Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP),Chinese Journal Full-text Database(CNKI),Wanfang Medicine Web database,Pubmed,Cochrane library, the search time is limited to:2010.1 to 2019.12,formulate the criteria for selection, two researchers independently screen the literature, determine the final inclusion of the literature, use Excel to extract the basic characteristics of the included literature and experimental data,The Revman5.3 software provided by the Cochrane Collaboration Network was used for analysis, and systematic reviews including heterogeneity testing,meta-analysis,and publication bias evaluation were performed on the included literature. Results: 1.A total of 15 clinical randomized controlled trials were included. The 15 literatures were all in Chinese.A total of 1022 patients were included, including 511 in the test group and 511 in the control group.2.Meta-analysis results showed: clinical effectiveness: combined ef fect size RR=1.25,95%CI(1.18,1.32),Z test: Z=7.75,P <0.00001.Improve TSH index: combined effect size SMD=0.97,95%CI(0.51,1.43),Z test: Z=4.31,P<0.0001.Improve the FT3 indicator: the combined effect size SM D=-0.97,95%(-1.11,-0.83),Z test: Z=13.68,P<0.00001.Improve FT4 indic ator: combined effect amount SMD=-0.72,95%(-0.88,-0.56),Z test: Z=8.99,P <0.00001,improve TRAb indicator: combined effect amount MD=-6.74,95%(-11.42,-2.06),Z test: Z=2.82,P=0.005,Because the heterogen eity is too large, give up meta-analysis and perform descriptive analys is.Adverse reactions: combined effect size RR=0.45,95%(0.24,0.84),Z t est: Z=2.52,P=0.01.3.Publishing bias: Revman 5.3 evaluates the publication bias as a funnel chart. From the clinical efficiency,TSH,FT3,and FT4 funnel charts, except for the FT3 funnel chart, the other indicator funnel charts are evenly distributed along both sides of the centerline. The published literature has a small degree of publication bias and the FT3 funnel plot is unevenly distributed, indicating that the literature included in this study may have publication bias. Conclusion: 1.The clinical effect of using methimazole combined with traditional Chinese medicine to treat hyperthyroidism is better than the control group using Western medicine alone;2.Methamidazole combined with Chinese medicine for the treatment of hyperthyroidism is an effective and safe clinical treatment plan.
