Relied on previous researchers' theoretical and empirical studies, this paper makes an in-depth investigation and analysis on the relationship between medical service participation and patients' trust from the sociological perspective. The following questions are discussed specifically in order to provide some enlightenment for the research in this field: What is the status quo of patients' trust? What is the level of medical service participation? What is the impact of medical service participation on patients' trust?Based on the questionnaire data of 651 urban residents in Hunan province who had medical experience in the past two years, the author empirically examines the level of medical service participation and the status quo of patients' trust for urban residents in Hunan province. On this basis, the influence of information searching, communication & interaction and sense of responsibility in medical services on patients' trust is discussed in many aspects. With the aid of SPSS,descriptive statistical analysis was carried out on the level of patients' trust and medical service participation of urban residents in Hunan province firstly. Then, taking the information search, communication & interaction and sense of responsibility of patients in medical service participation as independent variables, and taking the patients' trust as dependent variables, the author establishes the corresponding multiple linear regression model and logistic regression model to analyze the influence of independent variables on the dependent variables. The results show that after controlling for the variables involved, the medical service participation has significant and positive affect on patients' trust.Although the influence magnitude and statistical significance of different dimensions of medical service participation on patient's trust vary,we can tell from the analysis that patients' participation in information search in medical services, communication &interaction with doctors as well as their sense of responsibility all have a positive predictive effect on patients' trust.Meanwhile, controlled variables such as gender, city, clinic type and whether to engage in medical-related occupations also have a certain influence on patients' trust. In the end, this paper puts forward some relevant countermeasures and suggestions on how to improve the degree of patients' trust from the aspects of the patients themselves, the medical prescription and the society in the perspective of medical service participation.
