Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of Xiao Er Zhi Yang External Decoction in treating girls with vulvovaginitis on damp-heat and damp-worm syndrome.The effects of the color and characteristics of leucorrhea and the degree of pruritus vulvae were observed.Methods:A total of 60 patients with vulvovaginitis who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The treatment group was given Chinese medicine which was Xiao Er Zhi Yang External Decoction,and control group was given Chuan Bai Zhi Yang Topical Medicine.The observation period was 1week.After 1 week,the TCM syndrome score of the two groups were recorded and the clinical efficacy and safety were assessed.The color and characteristics of leucorrhea and the degree of pruritus vulvae were measured before and after treatment.Three months after the end of the course of treatment,the girls in the two groups were followed up and observed,and the recurrence rate was recorded and compared.Results:1.Comparison of total clinical efficacy:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.7%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 90.0%.There was no significant difference in efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Comparison of TCM syndrome score:Color and characteristics of leucorrhea,the degree of pruritus vulvae,dysuria,irritability,sleep quality between the two groups were statistical significance before and after treatment(P<0.05);This indicated that both groups improved the symptom.And in terms of leukorrhagia and pruritus vulvae,the curative effect of the treatment group was much better than that of the control group(all P<0.05).In terms of hiccup,thirsty and dry throat,bitter taste between the two groups of patients,there were nosignificant difference(P>0.05).3.Long-term efficacy:3 months after the end of the treatment course,the cured girls in the two groups were followed up for 3months.It was found that 1 patient recurred in the treatment group and 1 patients in the control group.The recurrence rate of the treatment group was 6.25%,which was equivalent to that of the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Xiao Er Zhi Yang External Decoction is clinically effective in the treatment of vulvovaginitis in girls and much better than that Chuan Bai Zhi Yang Topical Medicine.Long-term efficacy of Xiao Er Zhi Yang External Decoction is equivalent to Chuan Bai Zhi Yang Topical Medicine.2.Xiao Er Zhi Yang External Decoction can improve symptoms of vulvovaginitis in girls,include the color and characteristic of leucorrhea,the degree of pruritus vulvae,dysuria,irritability and sleep quality.However,in terms of hiccup,thirsty and dry throat and bitter taste,there are no obvious improvement.3.Xiao Er Zhi Yang External Decoction is safe and effective in treating vulvovaginitis in girls.
