Objective: To explore the effect of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy on the mental state of advanced age couples to have second child undergoing In Vitro Fertilization-Embryo Transfer treatment. Methods: A total of 98 elderly couples who were treated by IVF-ET were selected as research objects in the reproductive center of Changsha reproductive medical hospital From August to December in 2019.49 pairs each were randomly divided into the control group and the intervention group. At six time points of IVF-ET treatment cycle(filing date, excretion promotion date,6 days after the excretion promotion,HCG injection day,30 minutes after roe collection,1 hour after transplantation),the intervention group received mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, the control group received routine nursing guidance. The levels of psychological distress, sleep quality and coping styles were evaluated before and after the intervention, and the effects of the intervention were analyzed. Results: 1.Before intervention:(1)There was no statistically significant difference in scores of psychological distress, sleep quality and coping style between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in scores of psychological distress, sleep quality and coping style between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Comparison of psychological distress scores between the two groups before and after the intervention:(1)Before and after the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference within the group of female psychological distress in the control group(P>0.05),and the psychological distress score of the intervention group after the intervention(17.08±3.63)was decreased compared with the group before the intervention(19.88±5.08),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the degree of psychological distress of women in the intervention group was greater than that of the control group; The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The difference of psychological distress score between the control group and the intervention group was statistically significant(P<0.05).The score of psychological distress in the control group was(19.10±4.71)higher than that before intervention(17.82±4.73),and the score of psychological distress in the intervention group was(16.98±4.04)lower than that before intervention(18.84±4.41),with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After intervention, the degree of psychological distress of men in the intervention group was reduced more than that in the control group.3.Comparison of sleep quality between the two groups before and after the intervention:(1)There was statistically significant difference in sleep quality scores between the control group and the intervention group(P<0.05).The sleep quality scores of women in the control group were higher after intervention(24.33±3.45)than before intervention(21.00±4.08),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the sleep quality scores of women in the intervention group was decreased more than those in the control group.(2)The difference of sleep quality score between the control group and the intervention group was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the sleep quality score of males in the control group was(23.16±5.32)higher than that before intervention(21.96±5.17),while the sleep quality score of males in the intervention group was(20.08±3.92)lower than that before intervention(22.35±4.08),the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).After intervention, the sleep quality score of males in the intervention group was decreased more than that of the control group.4.Comparison of the coping style scores of the two groups before and after the intervention:(1)There was no statistically significant difference between the positive and negative cognition scores of the control group before and after the intervention(P>0.05).The negative response score of the control group after intervention(12.20±3.81)was higher than that before intervention(10.35±4.72),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The negative response score of women in the intervention group after intervention(6.71±3.42)was lower than that before intervention(9.14±4.26),and the female in the intervention group after positive intervention score(22.18±6.73)compared with that before the intervention(19.18±6.80),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention, the women's positive response score in the intervention group was increased more than the control group, and the negative response score was decreased more than the control group;(2)There was no statistically significant difference in the negative coping scores of males in the control group(P>0.05).The males in the control group after intervention(19.53±6.65)were lower than those before the intervention(20.29±7.97).The positive response score of males in the intervention group was significantly higher after intervention(22.08±5.03)than before intervention(19.12±7.53),and the negative response score after intervention(7.81±2.54)was decreased compared with before intervention(10.14±3.24),the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).After intervention, the positive response score in the intervention group increased by more than that in the control group, while the negative response score decreased by more than that in the control group. Conclusion: In this study, the implementation of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for advanced age couples undergoing IVF-ET to have second child can reduce the level of psychological distress, improve couples 's sleep status, and improve coping style.
