Objective: To investigate the influence of morphological changes of oocyte in IVF-ET on the laboratory parameters of the early embryonic development. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients undergoing IVF-ET at our centre for Reproductive Medicine from June 2011 to June 2015.A total of 300 MII oocytes coming from 96 treatment cycles were selected from 96 patients. Two kinds of morphological abnormalities of MII oocytes were selected as study objects.Group A:100oocytes with the smooth endoplasmic reticulum cluster appeared in the cytoplasm(no other internal and external morphological abnormalities of the cytoplasm).Group B:100 oocytes with the centrally located granular cytoplasm in the cytoplasm(no other internal and external morphological abnormalities of the cytoplasm).100 normal morphological MII oocytes were selected as control group. The normal fertilization rate, the normal cleavage rate, the high-quality embryo rate and the available embryo rate were compared with the control groups. Results: There were significant differences in laboratory indicators(the normal fertilization rate, the normal cleavage rate, the high-quality embryo rate and the available embryo rate)of the group A and B,comparing with the control group(P<0.05,respectively).Conclusion: The morphological changes of MII oocytes(with centrally located granular cytoplasm and the smooth endoplasmic reticulum cluster)were bad for the early embryonic development in IVF-ET treatment.
