Objective: To explore the correlation between blood pressure variability and ischemic stroke in patients with hypertension. Methods: From June 2018 to August 2019,203 patients with essential hypertension were collected from Department of Neurology and Department of Cardiology,Chaohu Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University. After 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, they were diagnosed as essential hypertension.According to the head CT or MRI examination, they were divided into two groups: the middle group of essential hypertension with ischemic stroke(stroke group)and the simple primary hypertension group(pair 93 cases were divided into light stroke group(group A)51 cases and non light stroke group(group B)59 cases according to NIHSS score. All subjects were compared in gender, age, body mass index(BMI)and the course of hypertension.24-hour systolic blood pressure standard deviation(24h SSD),daytime systolic blood pressure standard deviation(d SSD),nighttime systolic blood pressure standard deviation(n SSD),24 h diastolic blood pressure standard deviation(24h DSD),daytime diastolic blood pressure standard deviation(d DSD),nighttime diastolic blood pressure standard deviation(n DSD)and other blood pressure variations were compared between group A and group B The correlation between blood pressure variability and ischemic stroke in stroke group and control group was analyzed. Results: 1.The 24-hour systolic blood pressure standard deviation(24h SSD),24-hour diastolic blood pressure standard deviation(24h DSD),daytime systolic blood pressure standard deviation(d SSD)and daytime diastolic blood pressure standard deviation(d DSD)in light stroke group(group A)were significantly lower than those in non light stroke group(Group B)(P < 0.05);2.The average age of the observation group was 65.26 ± 12.25 years, significantly higher than that of the control group(58.42 ± 10.40 years,P < 0.05);3.The gender of the observation group and the control group Body mass index(BMI)and course of disease did not reach significant level(P > 0.05);4.24-hour systolic blood pressure standard deviation(24h SSD),daytime systolic blood pressure standard deviation(d SSD)and nighttime systolic blood pressure standard deviation(n SSD)in the middle group of essential hypertension with ischemic stroke were significantly higher than those in the control group(P < 0.05)The 24-hour diastolic standard deviation(24h DSD),daytime diastolic standard deviation(d DSD)and nighttime systolic standard deviation(n DSD)in the ischemic stroke group were slightly higher than those in the control group(P > 0.05).Conclusion: 1.The older the patients with essential hypertension are,the more likely they are to have ischemic stroke;2.The ischemic stroke is closely related to 24-hour systolic blood pressure standard deviation(24h SSD),daytime systolic blood pressure standard deviation(d SSD)and nighttime systolic blood pressure standard deviation(n SSD);3.The systolic blood pressure variability is positively related to the risk of ischemic stroke.
