Objective: To explore the risk factors of carotid atherosclerosis and the difference of the risk factors of carotid atherosclerosis in different age groups;to evaluate the correlation and risk factors between cerebral infarction and carotid atherosclerotic plaque formation, the property of carotid plaque, diseased blood vessels and diseased position. Methods: A total of 600 people including inpatients, outpatients and health examinees were enrolled randomly from January to December 2018.Clinic data, medical history and general demographic characteristics were collected from each patient including hypertension, diabetes, smoking histories, drinking histories, ages and genders.According to carotid intima-media thickness(IMT)and plaque, the samples were randomly divided into plaque group and plaque-free group. The risk factors of carotid atherosclerosis in different age groups and the correlation and risk factors between cerebral infarction and carotid atherosclerotic plaque formation, the property of carotid plaque, diseased blood vessels and diseased position were analyzed by univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis using Stata 13.0 and SPSS 22.0software.Results:(1)There are significant different in uric acid,HCY,age, gender, hypertension, diabetes, glucose and glycosylated hemoglobi between plaque group and plaque-free group(P < 0.05).(2)In the old group, there are significance different in diabetes and HCY between plaque group and plaque-free group(P < 0.05)but there are statistical significant different between plaque group and plaque-free group(P < 0.05)in uric acid,HCY,diabetes mellitus, glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the young and middle aged group.(3)The occurrence of carotid atherosclerosis, arteria carotis communis, internal carotid,Right subclavian artery are statistically significant in different groups(P < 0.05).(4)All risk factors are statistically significant in cerebral infarction group and non-cerebral infarction group including ages, genders, hypertension, diabetes, smoking histories, drinking histories,Uric acid,HCY,glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin(P < 0.05).Conclusions :(1)Uric acid,HCY,ages, genders, hypertension,Diabetes, glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin are risk factors of Carotid atherosclerosis.Ages and Diabetes are independent risk factors.(2)Diabetes and HCY are important risk factors of carotid atherosclerosis in the old groupbut in the young and middle-aged group,Uric acid,HCY,diabetes, glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin are risk factors.(3)Carotid atherosclerotic plaque formation, characters of carotid plaque, and diseased position, remarkably, cerebral infarction are closely related to those plaques in bilateral common carotid artery, internal carotid, right subclavian artery.(4)ages,genders,hypertension,diabetes,smoking,drinking,Uric acid,HCY,glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin are risk factors of cerebral infarction.Hypertension and diabetes are key independent risk factors for cerebral infarction.
