Objective(s):To understand the detection rate of hypertension in the first grade children in Mojiang county,Yunnan province. To study the correlation between their blood pressure status and their dietary habits and other lifestyle,so as to provide basic data for the prevention measures of hypertension in children and adolescents in China. Methods:A total of 2432 students from 12 primary schools in Mojiang county,Yunnan province were randomly selected by cluster sampling.Physical measurements, including blood pressure, height and weight, were taken and questionnaires were filled out.The data obtained were statistically analyzed using SPSS 17.0 statistical software.Results:1.In this survey,a total of 2,432 primary school children in Mojiang county,Yunnan province were diagnosed with hypertension,299 of whom were detected, with a detection rate of 12.3%,among which 12.4%were boys and 12.1%were girls. There was no significant difference in the detection rate of hypertension between boys and girls(P>,0.05).2.There were differences in the detection rates of hypertension in different age groups,7.9%in the group aged 7 years,14.9%in the group aged 8 years, and 13.3%in the group aged 9 years. The differences in the detection rates of hypertension in the three age groups were statistically significant(P<0.001).3.There were differences in the detection rates of hypertension in different BMI groups. The detection rates of hypertension in the normal weight group were 11.0%and 15.1%respectively,and those in the obese group were 28.7%respectively.4.The differences between different diet group detection rate of hypertension,15.2%detection rate of hypertension in children eat salted food every day, children often eat salted food 12.6%detection rate of hypertension, sometimes eat salted food detection rate 12.4%,occasionally high blood pressure of children eat salted food group children hypertension detection rate 7.0%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the partial eclipse and eating fruits, vegetables, the frequency of different groups in the detection rate of hypertension differences had no statistical significance(P>0.05)5.There was a difference in the detection rate of hypertension among children with smoking parents. The detection rate of hypertension among children without smoking parents was 10.3%,and that of children with smoking parents was 13.3%.The difference in the detection rate of hypertension between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the study burden, there was no statistically significant difference in the detection rate of hypertension among children with different degrees of learning stress and learning duration(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.The hypertension detection rate of children in the first grade of primary school in mojiang county, yunnan province is at a medium level compared with the epidemiological survey at home and abroad;2.The detection rate of hypertension was higher in children who were overweight and obese, who ate preserved food every day,and whose parents had a history of smoking.
