Objective:To explore the epidemiological characteristics and the related factors that affect prognosis of condyloma acuminatum patients in the outpatient department of Dermatology and Venereology in general hospital,so as to provide basis for the prevention and treatment of condyloma acuminatum. Methods:From March 2018 to October 2019,patients diagnosed as condyloma acuminatum in dermatology and venereology department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were selected as the research objects.Through questionnaire survey, the epidemiological characteristics, mental health status, clinical characteristics, treatment and recurrence of patients were collected.Excel database was established,spss26.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data.Curative effect and factors related to recurrence were studied in patients who were followed up for 3 months after treatment. Results:Among the 354 patients with condyloma acuminatum,71.5%were male,28.5%were female;38.1%were unmarried,59.1%were married;the average age was 29.42±11.34 years old(range from 1 to 71 years old),most of the patients were between 19 to 29 years old, accounting for 52.2%;86.0%were Han nationality;48.0%were college or above;company employees were accounting for 44.4%;the monthly income level was 2000-5000 yuan in 49.7%patients.The duration of disease in 60.5%patients were below three months,3.1%were more than one year.Predilection site of male patients were perianal(42.3%),urethral orifice(25.7%)and coronal sulcus(23.7%),female patients were perineum(38.6%),vaginal orifice(31.7%)and perianal(31.7%).Among them,61.0%of the patients had no obvious symptoms,20.9%felt pruritus; The number of verrucae was less than five in 64.7%patients,the diameter of verrucae was below 5mm in 71.2%patients;most ofthe lesions were shape as cauliflower, accounting for 48.6%;and 72.0%were skin-colored.HIV infection was found in 4.8%patients,and 9.9%were associated with syphilis.Female patients were more prone to anxiety and depression than male patients(P<0.05).Condyloma acuminatum had a more serious impact on female patients’ work and li fe(P<0.05).Single factor analysis showed that age, smoking, drinking, staying up late, anxiety, multiple sexual partners and multiple lesions were related to the recurrence of condyloma acuminatum(P<0.05).Further logistic regression analysis showed that drinking, staying up late, anxiety and multiple lesions were the risk factors for recurrence of condyloma acuminatum. Conclusion:Condyloma acuminatum occur in all ages, but adults are most affected.Drinking, staying up late, anxiety, multiple lesions and redundant prepuce are the risk factors for the recurrence of condyloma acuminatum.Photodynamic therapy combined with physical therapy can reduce the recurrence rate.Female patients are more prone to anxiety and depression than male patients.Condyloma acuminatum has a greater affect on female patients’ work and life than male patients.Patients with psychological problems should be given psychological counseling and intervention in time to build up treatment confidence.
