Objectives:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of negative-pressure Microdermabrasion combined with super pulse fractional CO2 laser for the treatment of atrophic acne scars. Methods:We matched the patients at 1:1 with the same gender, similar age, similar course of disease, same acne scar grade, and the similar ECC A scores. Then each pair of successfully matched patients were randomly assigned to combined treatment grouporfractional CO2 laser group for treatment. All patients will complete 2 treatments, each treatment interval is 3 months.ECCA(Echelle d'evaluation Clinique des Cicatrices d'Acne)score and VISIA pore score were conducted before and 3 months after treatment.TheIVA(Investigator's Visual Assessment)and patient satisfaction were recorded before the second treatment and 3 months after the end of the whole course of treatment.VAS(Visual Analogue Scale)scores on behalf of pain degrees were conducted after each treatment by patients.Adverse reactions on both groups were conducted after each therapy. Results:The atrophic acne scars of patients in both groups were obviously improved. The results showed that before and after treatment, the ECCA score and VISIA pore score decreased, and the IVA increased, the difference between the two methods was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of ECCA score and VISIA pore score before and after treatment in the combined treatment group was more significant than that in fractional CO2 laser group(P<0.05).In the combined treatment group, the IVA was higher(P<0.001),the curative effect on M-type scar was more significant(P<0.001),and the patient satisfaction was higher(P<0.001).There were no serious adverse reactions such as infection, hypertrophic scar and wound nonunion in 40 patients. Conclusions:Both fractional CO2 laser and negative-pressure microdermabrasion are safe and effective foratrophic acne scars. The effect of combined treatment is more significant and the improvement of M-type scar is more obvious, and the patient satisfaction is higher.
