| Objective:The purpose of this study was to introduce Chinese version of The Kidney Disease Self-Management Scale(PKDSMS)for maintenance hemodialysis by localization steps,including cultural adjustment,reliability and validity test.To provide a simple and operable evaluation tool for the study of self-management efficacy of the hemodialysis patients in China.Methods:1.Through literature review,the PKDSMS adapted by Marcus G.Wild equals in 2018 was selected,namely the self-management efficacy scale for maintenance hemodialysis patients.2.We obtained the authorization of Marcus G.Wild,the author of the original scale,and formed the initial scale strictly in accordance with the procedure of sinicization of the scale,through translation,experts check and discuss,back translation,2 rounds of Delphi expert advice and some wording modification after the pre-investigation on patients.3.Three hundred and seventeen patients undergoing hemodialysis from Northern Jiangsu Peoples Hospital were investigated using the initial scale,and the data were checked and recorded into SPSS20.0 statistical software.The reliability of the scale includes analysis included inner reliability,split-half reliability and test-retest reliability.The structural validity of the scale was tested by analyzing the correlation between items and factors,between factors and the total score of the scale.By analyzing the correlation between the score of the self-management efficacy scale and the score of the self-management behavior scale of hemodialysis patients,the calibration validity was evaluated.Results:1.After translation,experts check and discuss,back translation,2 rounds of Delphi expert advice and some wording modification after the pre-investigation on patients.The localization version of PKDSMS had 8 items,which contained 2 factors,namely,foctorsl:positive emotional efficacy;factors2:negative emotional efficacy.The language of each item is easy to understand,meaning expression conforms to the cultural habits of China.The newly introduced self-management efficacy scale for maintenance hemodialysis patients can be applied in clinic.2.The statistical data analysis of the scale shows that:The scale includes a total of 7 items which contained 2 factors.3.(1)Reliability of Chinese version of PKDSMS scale:the Cronbach's a coefficients of gross scale was 0.833,factor 1 and factor 2 were 0.785 and 0.769;the half-fold coefficient of gross scale was 0.888,factor 1 and factor 2 were 0.765 and 0.730.(2)The retest reliability of the total scale is 0.942,factor 1 and factor 2 were 0.937 and 0.935,respectively.4.Validity test of PKDSMS scale in Chinese version:(1)Surface Validity:In strict accordance with the scale of the Chinese method and combined with the expert's opinions and suggestions,the surface has good surface validity.(2)The total Content Validity Index(CVI)of the scale was 0.857.The content validity of all items in the scale is greater than 0.8.(3)Construct Validity:The scale has 2 common factors by exploratory factor analysis;The cumulative contribution rate was the rate of was 65.045%.The correlation coefficients between each item and the attribution correlation factor ranged from 0.615 to 0.911,and the correlation coefficients between the factor and the scale ranged from 0.879 to 0.898.(4)Criteria Validity:the correlation coefficient between score of self-management efficacy scale and score of self-management behavior scale of hemodialysis patients was 0.371(P<0.001).It indicates that self-management efficacy is closely related to self-management behaviors and the scale has good criteria validity.Conclusion:The scale of PKDSMS(Chinese version)has good reliability and validity.Two dimensional structure makes the expression of the scale clearer and can be used to evaluate the self-management efficacy of maintenance hemodialysis patients in the cultural background of our country.This questionnaire has only 7 items,being convenient to use and can be widely used in clinic. |
