Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Beifuxin gel put into periodontal pocket after scaling and root planning and analyze the relevant factors affecting the changes of various indexes,so as to provide data support for the use of Beifuxin gel in periodontal basic treatment.Methods: A total of 300 teeth from 50 patients with chronic periodontitis between 18 and 60 years old who were systematically healthy were selected as the research objects and basic information were collected.A full mouth ultrasound supragingival treatment was performed on the test patients 1 week before the baseline,and a follow-up visit was performed 1 week later as the baseline.The left and right symmetrical teeth with similar condition in the oral cavity of the same patient were used for self-control design.The oral cavity was divided into left and right regions,and 3 teeth in accordance with the standard were selected.The left and right teeth were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the method of random number table,and then scaling and root planing were performed on them.The experimental group: SRP +Beifuxin gel was injected into periodontal pocket;the control group: SRP,no other treatment.The bleeding on probing(BOP),sulcus bleeding index(SBI),plaque index(PI),probing depth(PD)and attachment level(AL)of the affected teeth were recorded at baseline,1 week,2 weeks and 6 weeks after operation,and then the data were processed and analyzed by statistical software SPSS 26.0.Results: 1.There was no significant difference between the two groups of data at baseline(P>0.05).2.The percentage of BOP-positive sites in the experimental group decreased from 100% at baseline to 38.7% at 6 weeks;while the percentage of BOP-positive sites in the control group decreased from 100% at baseline to 41.0% at 6weeks;There was a significant difference between the two groups in the percentage of BOP-positive sites at 1 and 2 weeks after treatment(P<0.05),and the difference was more significant at the first week,but no significant difference at 6 weeks(P>0.05).3.The SBI in the experimental group decreased from 4.00 at baseline to 0.53 at 6 weeks,and there were significant differences at various time points in the group(P<0.05);theSBI in the control group decreased from 4.06 at baseline to 0.68,and comparison at each time point.There is a significant difference(P<0.05);the comparison of SBI between the two groups was that at 1 and 2 weeks after treatment,there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.05),especially at the first week,but there was no significant difference at 6 weeks.(P>0.05).4.The PI of the experimental group decreased from 2.35 at baseline to 0.00 at 6 weeks,and there was a significant difference at each time point in the group(P<0.05).The PI of the control group decreased from 2.33 at baseline to 0.00 at 6 weeks,and there was a significant difference at each time point in the group(P<0.05).Comparison of PI between the two groups at each time point showed no statistical difference(P>0.05).5.The PD in the experimental group decreased from 5.10 mm at baseline to 3.33 mm at 6weeks,and there was a significant difference at each time point in the group(P<0.05);the PD in the control group decreased from 4.94 mm at baseline to 3.26 mm at 6 weeks,and there was a significant difference at each time point in the group(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in PD between the two groups at each time point(P>0.05).6.The AL in the experimental group decreased from 2.43 mm at baseline to 1.46 mm at 6weeks,and there was significant difference in each time point in the group(P<0.05);the AL in the control group decreased from 2.56 mm at baseline to 1.53 mm at 6 weeks,and there was significant difference in each time point in the group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the AL between the two groups at each time point(P>0.05).Conclusion: Periodontal basic treatment has a good therapeutic effect on patients with chronic periodontitis.The application of Beifuxin gel in the periodontal basic treatment of patients with chronic periodontitis,which can improve the periodontal index such as BOP and SBI,and improve the ability of periodontal tissue repair and regeneration.Adding periodontitis gel into periodontal basic treatment,especially in the periodontal pocket immediately after treatment can significantly improve gingival crevicular bleeding index and bleeding index at 1 weeks after operation.
