Bronchial asthma was one of the common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases in clinical.It was characterized by chronic airway inflammation and involved a variety of cells and cell components,which seriously endangered human health.At present,it was believed that Th2 cell response advantage caused by Thl/Th2 imbalance was the main mechanism of bronchial asthma.The activation of Th2 cells and the release of inflammatory mediators induced by them eventually lead to high airway reactivity.In addition,Th17 cells were also found to be involved in the pathogenesis of asthma.Cytokines IL-17 and IL-22 secreted by Th17 cells induced airway inflammation by recruiting neutrophils.IL-26 was mainly secreted by NK cells and Th17 cells,especially Th17 cells.Research found that IL-26 was highly expressed in allergic diseases,autoimmune diseases and infectious diseases.However,whether IL-26 was associated with adult bronchial asthma still lacking relevant clinical data.In this study,we detected the serm IL-26 concentration in healthy people,asthma patientsincluding with/without treatment,and some clinical detection indexes and flow cytometry were analyzed,the correlation between serm IL-26 concentration and lung function was evaluated,and then the significance of serum IL-26 in clinical diagnosis and treatment of bronchial asthma was discussed.Objective:To study the correlation and clinical significance between serum IL-26 with adult bronchial asthma by detecting the concentration of IL-26 in peripheral blood of asthmatic patients and other clinical indicators.Methods:Three groups were included healthy group,asthmatic group and treatment group.A total of 28 patients in asthma group,and 24 patients in treatment group were collected bronchial asthma patients hospitalized in the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Central Hospital of Wuhan from December 2018 to June 2019.The diagnosis and treatment standards were interpreted according to the Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Bronchial Asthma(2016 Edition).20 patients in the healthy group was recruited from the Central Hospital of Wuhan Medical Examination Center.Routine clinical examination of blood routine and lung function was selected,ELISA was used to detect serum IL-4,IL-26 and IgE,flow cytometry was used to detect the proportion of IL-26+IL-17A+CD4+T.One-way ANOVA,significance Student-T test,chi-square test and Pearson correlation method were used for data statistics and analysis,and P<0.05 showed that the difference was statistically significant.Results:(1)Blood routine eosinophil ratio(EOS),basophil ratio(BAS),neutrophil ratio(NEU%):EOS%,BAS%and NEU%in asthmatic group were significantly higher than those in healthy group and treatment group(P<0.05).(2)Pulmonary function:FEV1%Pre,FEV1/FVC and PEF in asthma group were significantly lower than those in treatment group and healthy group(P<0.05),FEV1%Pre,FEV1/FVC and PEF in treatment group were lower than those in healthy group(P<0.05).(3)Serum ELISA test:the expression of IL-26,IL-4 and IgE in asthmatic group was significantly higher than that in healthy group and treatment group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between healthy group and treatment group.(4)Correlation analysis:in asthmatic group,IL-26 was negatively correlated with FEV1%Pre and FEV1/FVC(p<0.05);IL-4 and IgE were negatively correlated with FEV1%Pre and FEV1/FVC.IL-26 was positively correlated with IL-4 and IL-26(P<0.05).(5)In the proportion of IL-26+IL-17A+CD4+Th17 cells,the asthmatic group was significantly higher than the healthy group and the treatment group(P<0.05).the proportion of IL-26+CD4+T cells in the asthmatic group was significantly higher than that in the healthy group and the treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The increase of serum IL-26 in patients of asthmatic group indicatede that the potential of serum IL-26 as an asthma diagnostic index can be further developed.(2)In asthmatic group,serum IL-26 was negatively correlated with lung function indexes(FEV1%Pre,FEV1/FVC).(3)IL-26+IL-17A+CD4+Th17 cells in asthmatic group were higher than those in healthy group and treatment group,and the expression of these cells can be reduced after standard treatment;IL-26+IL-17A+CD4+Th17cells account for 11%of IL-26+CD4+T cells,which showed that there were other CD4+T cells involved IL-26 secretion.
