The Life-world Of Deep Village

As an ancient chronic infectious disease,leprosy has been raging around the world for a long time.Leprosy is not only a medical and health problem,but also a social problem.This paper takes leprosy as the theme,takes the Deep village leprosy rehabilitation village in the Pearl River Delta region as the core case,through the field investigation and literature method,and examines the life course of individual life and the practice of leprosy villages under the influence of national prevention and control policy.This paper focuses on the living world of leprosy village:on the one hand,it is the development and evolution of village labor and livelihood under different backgrounds,on the other hand,it is the fracture and reconstruction of social relations and daily life after the change of individual identity.The thesis is composed of three parts,including the introduction,the main text and the conclusion.The introduction clarifies the origin and significance of the research,reviews the previous research on leprosy,and introduces the research methods.The first chapter analyzes the formation and development of the leprosy village from the macro and micro levels.Firstly,it introduces the history of leprosy with its prevention and treatment at home and abroad,and the changes of leprosy epidemic prevention in China since 1949,which provides the social and cultural background and political system background of leprosy village.And then it sorted out the regional overview,village construction,villagers' situation,village management and economic situation of Deep village.From the diachronic perspective,the second chapter describes the development and changes of labor production and economic life in Deep village in the past sixty-four years:from collective work and collective life in isolated and closed periods to the diversified production of household farming,breeding,outsourcing in the period of reform and opening up.During this process,the land boundary between Deep village and the outside world is gradually eroded,land rights and interests changed repeatedly,and finally the villagers lost their land and lived on government assistance.The third chapter discusses the changes in daily life and social relations of individuals after suffering from leprosy:due to the isolation system and disease stigma,the original life-world of individuals was instantly broken,the outside world threw discrimination,internal conflicted,the right to marriage and childbearing was deprived.Through adaptation and adjustment,social relations and daily life was reconstructed and restored to a certain extent.At the same time,various external forces such as government departments,church members,college students and and non-governmental volunteers have gradually participated in the village process.The conclusion part puts forward some thoughts and questions:first,the leprosy isolation policy has effectively controlled the spread of leprosy,and at the same time has strengthened the stigma and discrimination of the society towards leprosy,making it difficult for individuals to return to the society after being cured.Under the irresistible force of the country,individual life is actively coping with and struggling.Leprosy villages are already facing difficulties at the present stage:where should the leprosy village generating in the historical context go?...
