Treatment Of Menstrual Migraine With Warming Acupuncture And Moxibustion

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of warm acupuncture on menstrual migraine.Methods:From June 2018 to December 2019,60 patients who met the criteria of diagnosis and inclusion of menstrual migraine in the outpatient department of encephalopathy of Shanxi University of traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into treatment group and control group 30 cases each by random digital table method.The treatment group was given warm acupuncture treatment,taking points: main points: Fengchi,Taichong,Hegu,Zusanli,Sanyinjiao,Guan Yuan,Xuehai,uterus.Local acupoints: Baihui,Sishen Cong.The small moxa segment with diameter of 18 mm? length of 15 mm was placed on the needle handle of Sanyinjiao,Zusanli,Guanyuan and Uterine points.Moxibustion was ignited from the lower end and a hard piece of paper was disposed in contact with the skin to prevent ash embers from spreading and scalding the skin.Control group was given flunarizine hydrochloride capsule oral treatment,once a day,5 mg,oral,every night before bedtime.The two groups started treatment 1 week before the menstrual cycle,once a day,lasting 7 days,a total of 3 menstrual cycles.If the patient's headache is severe and unbearable during the trial,the treatment group can continue acupuncture treatment and take ibuprofen tablets if necessary.evaluation of the headache degree score,migraine attack times score,headache duration score,concomitant symptom score and headache impact measure-6(HIT-6)score before and after treatment in group 2,and given statistical analysis.evaluate the headache degree score,migraine attack times score,headache duration score,concomitant symptom score and headache effect measure-6(HIT-6)score before and after treatment in group 2,and follow up on 1 month after treatment to further evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two groups.Results:flunarizine hydrochloride capsule and warm acupuncture can reduce the degree of headache attack,reduce the number of headache attacks and headache duration,and significantly improve the quality of life of patients with menstrual migraine(p <0.05).compared with flunarizine hydrochloride capsule,warm acupuncture can significantly reduce the degree of headache attack,reduce the number of headache attacks,headache duration and accompanying symptoms,and significantly improve the quality of life of patients with menstrual migraine(p <0.05).Conclusion : Warm acupuncture can effectively improve the pain degree of menstrual migraine,reduce the number of headache attacks,headache duration and accompanying symptoms,warm acupuncture treatment of menstrual migraine significantly better than flunarizine hydrochloride capsule,can be used as an effective and safe treatment for menstrual migraine,worthy of further clinical promotion.
