Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of acellular matrix biopsy in repai ring incarcerated inguinal hernia. Methods:The clinical data of 50 patients with in guinal hernia of Lichtenstein who underwent tension-free hernia repair were retrosp ectively analyzed.According to the patch material,50 patients were divided into o bservation group(decellularized matrix bio-supplement group)20 cases, and control group(polypropylene patch group)30 cases. The effects of hernia repair and com plications were analyzed in two groups. Results:The general clinical data, hospital ization time, operation time, postoperative hospital stay, incision infection, and post operative chronic pain in theobservation group were not significantly different from those in the control group(P>0.05).However,the incidence of foreign body sensa tion in the control group was 9(30.0%),which was significantly higher than that i n the observation group(5.0%).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of seroma in the observation group was 5(35.0%),and the hosp italization cost was(20,197 yuan),the incidence of seroma in the control group wa s 2(6.7%),and the hospitalization cost was(15,495 yuan). The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The acellular m atrix biopsy is safe and effective for incarcerated inguinal hernia repair, which can reduce the incidence of postoperative foreign body sensation, but the cost oftreatm ent increases.
